Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook overcame his Week 3 shoulder injury to assume his usual workload in Sunday morning's win over the Saints. He carried 20 times to Alexander Mattison's 3 and caught both of his targets. Cook collected a just-OK 86 total yards and didn't find the end zone. WR Justin Jefferson vultured a 3-yard rushing TD, and Mattison scored from 15 yards out on his only reception. Although Cook's Sunday didn't do much to help you fantasy football team, we'll at least count the workload and emerging from the game healthy as positives. He'll get a nice matchup with the Bears in Week 5 before a visit to Miami and then a Week 7 bye.

Browns QB Jacoby Brissett had a forgettable passing day -- 21 of 35, 234 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT, sacked once -- in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. But he added his 1st rushing TD of the season from 4 yards out midway through the 2nd quarter. It was Brissett's 1st ground score of the year, as he totaled 16 yards on 5 carries. Brissett hasn't added enough on the ground to support his 207.5 passing yards per game and become a factor in 1-QB fantasy football leagues.

Browns TE David Njoku caught 5 balls among 7 targets for a team-with 73 yards in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. He tied for the team reception lead with WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, who led Cleveland with 9 targets. DPJ collected 71 yards. No other Brown exceeded 35 yards receiving. TE Harrison Bryant was the only other player with more than 2 receptions. He caught 4 of 6 targets for 18 yards. WR Amari Cooper drew just 4 looks and caught only 1 for 9 yards.

Broncos RB Javonte Williams went down with a right knee injury in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Raiders and was quickly ruled out. We'll update his status as soon as we know more. Williams' absence leaves Denver with RBs Melvin Gordon and Mike Boone.

Browns RB Nick Chubb ran for 118 yards and a TD on 19 carries in Sunday's narrow loss to the Falcons. It marked Chubb's 3rd game of more than 100 yards already this season. He added 9 yards on 2 catches among 3 targets. RB Kareem Hunt tallied just 2 catches (for 19 yards) on 3 targets as well, adding 49 yards on 10 rushes. Home dates with the Chargers and Patriots lie ahead the next 2 weeks.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor got his left ankle rolled up on during Sunday's loss to the Titans and "will have tests imminently to make sure there is no major damage," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The schedule will do Taylor no favors, with the Colts taking on the Broncos on Thursday night. We'll update Taylor's status as soon as we know more. If he can't play vs. Denver, Indianapolis would be down to RBs Nyheim Hines, Deon Jackson and D'Vonte Price.

Update: The Colts "fear" a high-ankle sprain for Taylor, according to The Athletic's Zak Keefer.

Patriots TE Jonnu Smith left in the 2nd quarter of Week 4 with an ankle injury. He limped off to the locker room and is officially questionable to return.

Patriots QB Brian Hoyer exited in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Packers to be checked for a concussion. Fourth-round rookie QB Bailey Zappe is next up for New England.

Update: Hoyer has been ruled out with a concussion.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw an INT and lost 4 fumbles in Sunday's rain-soaked loss in Philadelphia. He also managed just 11 of 23 passing for 174 yards. Lawrence did hit WR Jamal Agnew for a pair of TDs, but the 5 turnovers wiped out all fantasy value. Lawrence and the Jacksonville offense get a nice rebound matchup at home with Houston in Week 5.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne led the team in rushing yards Sunday, but that only took 32 yards on 8 carries. That number matched James Robinson, who gained just 29 yards on the ground. Etienne also drew the only target between them but failed to catch it. This looks like a throwaway day for an offense that had started much stronger.

WR Christian Kirk led the Jaguars with 9 targets in a sloppy loss to the Eagles on Sunday, but he managed only 2 catches (for 60 yards). WR Jamal Agnew stepped in to catch 4 balls for 50 yards (among 6 targets) and score the team's only 2 offensive TDs. JaMycal Hasty was the only other Jaguar to draw more than 1 target on a sloppy offensive day in rainy Philly. TE Evan Engram and WR Marvin Jones each drew just 1 target apiece.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown led the team with 95 yards on 5 catches in Sunday's win over the Jaguars. He accounted for 46.6% of QB Jalen Hurts' passing yardage in the contest, while drawing 28% of Hurts' passion attempts. WR DeVonta Smith followed a monster Week 3 by going quiet: 3 catches, 17 yards on 4 targets. TE Dallas Goedert finished 2nd on the team with 6 targets, catching 5 for 72 yards. Miles Sanders (2) and Kenneth Gainwell (1) accounted for the team's only other pass completions.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw for just 204 yards, no TDs and an INT in Sunday's victory over the Jaguars. He did add 38 yards and a TD on the ground, 1 of 4 rushing scores for the Eagles in the game. Hurts gave way to a career high in carries for Miles Sanders, faced a Jacksonville defense that has started the season strong and played in rainy conditions. It's a disappointing fantasy day for a QB that has been winning fantasy matchups so far this year, but we see no cause for concern going forward.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders racked up 134 yards and 2 TDs on 27 carries in Sunday's win over the Jaguars. He handled 79.4% of Philadelphia's RB rushes and 3 of the 5 backfield targets. Sanders caught 2 of those for another 22 yards. Kenneth Gainwell claimed the other 2 targets, turning them into just 1 catch for a loss of 2 yards. Gainwell added a 10-yard TD run but totaled only 19 yards on 5 attempts. With Boston Scott out, Trey Sermon claimed the other 2 carries and took them for gains of 14 and 5 yards. It was the largest carry total of Sanders' career and just his 4th game ever with 20+ rushes. He rushed 13, 17 and 15 times over this season's 1st 3 contests.

Ravens RB Justice Hill went down with a hamstring injury in the 2nd half of Sunday's game vs. the Bills. We'll update his status when we know more.

Commanders WR Jahan Dotson suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's game at Dallas and is questionable to return. With Washington currently down 15 late in the 4th quarter, we'd be surprised if Dotson returns. We'll see about his status heading into Week 5.

Raiders CB Rock Ya-Sin is inactive for today's game against the Broncos.

Titans WR Treylon Burks was carted to the locker room after going down in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Colts. We'll update the rookie's status when we know more.

Update: Burks has a left foot injury and has been ruled out.

Giants QB Daniel Jones injured his left ankle in the 2nd half of Sunday's game vs. the Bears. QB Tyrod Taylor has replaced him. We'll update Jones' status when we know more.

Update: Jones returned to the game -- with his ankle heavily taped -- after Taylor left for a concussion check.

Broncos DT D.J. Jones (concussion) is active for today's game against the Raiders.
