Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Washington RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. He was able to get in limited workouts last Thursday and Friday, so this looks like a setback. McKissic now seems unlikely to play vs. the Eagles this weekend, but we'll get another update on his progress tomorrow.

Panthers WR D.J. Moore (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. HC Matt Rhule said afterward that he expects Moore to play vs. the Bills this weekend. We'll keep an eye on him leading up to that one.

Jets RB Michael Carter (ankle) has been designated to return from IR. HC Robert Saleh said earlier this week that he expected Carter to play vs. the Dolphins on Sunday, but we'll keep tabs on his progress over the next few days.

Cardinals RB James Conner is considered "day-to-day" with his ankle injury, HC Kliff Kingsbury said. It sounds like his MRI came back relatively clean. Conner still shouldn't be considered a lock to play vs. the Lions on Sunday, but we'll keep you updated on his status.

Bills QB Josh Allen (foot) will be limited in Wednesday's walkthrough, HC Sean McDermott said. It's a good sign that he'll be out there at all this early in the week. Allen seems to be trending toward playing vs. the Panthers on Sunday, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on him.

Texans RB Rex Burkhed (hip) won't play vs. the Jaguars on Sunday, HC David Culley said. It'll be David Johnson and Royce Freeman in the backfield for that one. Johnson is the better fantasy bet, but it's a situation to avoid if you can.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni said Wednesday that QB Jalen Hurts (ankle) is "trending upward." Sirianni said that both Hurts and QB Gardner Minshew would get reps in Wednesday's walkthrough and stopped short of guaranteeing that Hurts will play vs. Washington this weekend. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. He's looking unlikely to return for this weekend's game vs. Arizona. We'll see if RB Jamaal Williams makes it off the COVID list for that one. If not, Craig Reynolds would be the favorite for touches in Detroit's backfield.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (hand) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. The Athletic's Chris Burke confirms that it "doesn't sound overly" optimistic for Hockenson to play vs. the Cardinals this weekend. TEs Brock Wright and Shane Zylstra split TE duties with Hockenson out last week. Neither is a reliable fantasy play.

Panthers QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) has been designated to return from IR and will practice on Wednesday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Darnold has been out since fracturing the scapula in his right shoulder back in Week 9. HC Matt Rhule said earlier this week that Darnold might get back into the mix down the stretch, so we'll see where this goes.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins "is in danger " of missing Sunday's game vs. the Lions due to a knee injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Hopkins is seeking more opinions on the injury, which usually isn't a good sign. We'll keep you updated on his status, but fantasy owners should be lining up backup plans for Week 15.

Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) will return to practice on Wednesday. It'll be "more of a walkthrough-type practice," HC Mike McCarthy said. But this still sets Pollard up to play vs. the Giants on Sunday. He'll, of course, carry elevated risk playing through the partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) won't practice on Wednesday, HC John Harbaugh said. We wouldn't expect Jackson to practice much, if at all, this week and are expecting him to be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Packers. We'll keep you updated.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield landed on the COVID list Tuesday after a positive test. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that "there are more positive tests with more Cleveland players," indicating that more names will be added today. The Browns had already placed 8 players on the list Monday. We'll see whether the outbreak winds up postponing Saturday's game against the Raiders -- which is in Cleveland. If it doesn't, then Mayfield looks likely to miss the game. Case Keenum would start in his place.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins suffered a leg injury in Monday night's loss to the Rams and is scheduled for an MRI, HC Kliff Kingsbury said. We'll update Hopkins' status as soon as we know more.

Cardinals RB James Conner will get an MRI on the ankle he injured on the 2nd-to-last play of Monday night's loss to the Rams, HC Kliff Kingsbury said. We'll pass along an update as soon as we get one. Kingsbury also admitted that he's played Conner too many snaps in Chase Edmonds' absence, so we can expect Conner's volume to be scaled back with Edmonds likely back for Week 15.

Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) put in a limited practice on Tuesday. That seemingly puts him on track to play vs. the Colts on Saturday, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee, back) remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. At this point, fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting him to play vs. the Browns on Saturday. We'll see if Waller is able to get on the practice field tomorrow.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) put in a limited practice on Tuesday. HC Brandon Staley hasn't seem concerned about Ekeler's injury since his post-game press conference on Sunday, and it looks like Ekeler is on track to play vs. the Chiefs on Thursday night. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Raiders RB Jalen Richard has been activated from the COVID list. He's not a fantasy option but could siphon a few passing-down snaps from RB Josh Jacobs down the stretch. It's worth monitoring in Saturday's game vs. the Browns, but Jacobs remains a rock-solid fantasy starter in that one.
