Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. WR Marquise Goodwin (foot) has been ruled out, leaving Damiere Byrd, Jakeem Grant and Isaiah Coulter behind Darnell Mooney. Mooney has racked up 24 targets over the past 2 weeks and is a strong volume bet again on Sunday.

Bears QB Justin Fields (ribs) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. The rookie got back on the practice field this week, setting him up for a Week 14 return. Andy Dalton gets another start this Sunday but is a low-end QB2 vs. Arizona's 3rd-ranked QB defense.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (quad) and Kadarius Toney (quad) are listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. With those guys out last week, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton operate as New York's primary outside WRs, with Pharoh Cooper in the slot. Try to avoid the situation in fantasy lineups, especially with Mike Glennon under center.

Washington has ruled S Landon Collins out for Sunday's game against the Raiders with a foot injury. Collins has been splitting time at safety and LB in recent weeks, helping to improve the team's mid-range coverage. His absence enhances the matchup for Vegas TEs, RBs and Hunter Renfrow.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) will miss Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins, and his status beyond that is uncertain. "There's no indication of when he'll be cleared," insider Ralph Vacchiano reports. "At the moment, this is not considered a season-ending injury ... it could be days, it could be weeks with this kind of injury." QB Mike Glennon will start for the G-Men for however long Jones is out.

Bucs HC Bruce Arians said Friday that "nothing has been decided" with WR Antonio Brown's future with the team. Brown is suspended for the next 3 games for using a fake COVID vaccine card. And it sounds like there's a chance that he doesn't re-join the team once that suspension is over. We'd keep Brown stashed on fantasy rosters until this situation is cleared up, but fantasy managers should at least prepare to not have him for the rest of the season.

Saints QB Taysom Hill has Mallet Finger, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. If that sounds familiar, it's because it's the same injury that cost Seahawks QB Russell Wilson a month earlier this year. And Wilson hasn't looked the same since returning from that Week 5 injury. Hill's injury "may necessitate surgery at some point," per Rapoport. It sounds like Hill's injury might not be as severe as Wilson's, but it's certainly a major concern going forward. New Orleans might be forced to go back to QB Trevor Siemian. Stay tuned.

Washington RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. That leaves only Jaret Patterson and Wendell Smallwood behind Antonio Gibson in the backfield. Gibson should continue to dominate carries and pick up extra work in the passing game with McKissic out. HC Ron Rivera suggested Friday that Smallwood would take over some of McKissic's role.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. He practiced this week but hasn't been cleared for contact, HC Joe Judge said. QB Mike Glennon will start in Jones' place on Sunday. He's a low-end QB2 but might be just a slight downgrade for the Giants offense.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Thursday that it "feels like a long shot" for Swift to make it back for Week 14. We'll keep an eye on him next week. Jamaal Williams is a volume-fueled RB2 in Week 13 fantasy lineups.

The Texans this week designated LB Christian Kirksey to return from IR, and he has practiced with the team. If his repaired left thumb is ready for Sunday's game against the Colts, the returning starter would destabilize LB Zach Cunningham's role. Cunningham had sunk to a reserve spot behind Kirksey and Kamu Grugier-Hill before Kirksey's injury. We'll watch for whether Kirksey makes it back to the active roster.

Rams WR Odell Beckham's status for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars is "up in the air," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Beckham was limited with his hip pointer on Wednesday but did not practice on Thursday, so it looks like he had a setback. Rapoport adds that Beckham's injury is "not considered a major issue." But it's possible that the Rams opt to hold him out in a game they should be able to win without him. We'll get another update on his status this afternoon.

Rams WR Odell Beckham (hip) did not practice on Thursday. That follows limited participation in Wednesday's walkthrough. HC Sean McVay expects Beckham to play vs. Jacksonville this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update on his status.

Rams RB Darrell Henderson (thigh) missed practice again on Thursday. HC Sean McVay has been optimistic about Henderson's status for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars, but he shouldn't be considered a lock to play. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny (hamstring) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He should be available for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers just to muddy up Seattle's backfield a bit more. It's a situation to avoid in fantasy lineups.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with an ankle issue. We don't have any other info at this time. We'll get another update on Jacobs tomorrow, ahead of Sunday's game vs. Washington

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) put in a limited practice on Thursday -- his 1st official work since going down back in Week 8. It gives Shepard a shot to play vs. the Dolphins this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update on his status.

Giants WR Kadarius Toney (quad, oblique) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. He's looking like a long shot to play vs. the Dolphins this weekend.

Bears TE Cole Kmet (groin) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We're expecting Kmet to play vs. the Cardinals this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He's on track to play vs. the Jets this weekend. RBs Boston Scott (illness) and Jordan Howard (knee) have yet to practice this week. Howard will likely miss Sunday's game. We're still expecting Scott to play, but Sanders will be the best fantasy bet in the backfield.
