Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He was in the same position last week before playing just 9 snaps in the win over the Jets, presumably because of that rib injury. Beasley can’t be trusted in Week 11 fantasy lineups.

Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Lions. He tweaked his groin on Wednesday, was sidelined on Thursday and then limited in Friday’s practice. DPJ shouldn’t be in your fantasy plans at less than 100%. WR Anthony Schwartz (concussion) is out for Week 11.

Jaguars RB James Robinson (heel, knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the 49ers. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We’re expecting Robinson to play on Sunday, but it’s safe to assume that he’ll do so at less than 100%.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) remained sidelined on Friday. He's a long shot to play vs. the Bucs on Monday night.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) remained limited in Friday's practice. He's trending toward a return on Monday night vs. the Bucs, but we'll get another update on Barkley tomorrow.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Ravens after missing practice all week. He obviously needs to be on fantasy benches. Robinson's absence will make a thin Chicago pass-catching corps even thinner. WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet should pick up extra targets.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid wouldn't say Friday whether RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) will play vs. the Cowboys this weekend. Reid did say that CEH had a "good week of practice." Kansas City would need to activate Edwards-Helaire from IR by 4 pm ET on Saturday to make him eligible to play against Dallas. If he remains out, Darrel Williams will once again be a borderline RB1 play.

Lions QB Tim Boyle is expected to start Sunday's game vs. the Browns, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. QB Jared Goff didn't practice all week with his oblique injury. Boyle has 4 regular-season pass attempts to his name. He went undrafted back in 2018 after completing 55.5% of his passes, averaging 5.6 yards per attempt and tossing 12 TDs vs. 26 INTs across 4 college seasons (3 at UConn, 1 at Eastern Kentucky). There's a good chance this is a total disaster for the Lions offense. Downgrade RB D'Andre Swift and TE T.J. Hockenson.

The Eagles and TE Dallas Goedert agreed to a 4-year, $59 million contract extension with $35 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. It makes Goedert the league's 3rd-highest-paid TE in terms of average annual salary. Finally freed of TE Zach Ertz, Goedert has been hamstrung by a run-heavy Eagles offense lately. We'll see whether the Eagles stick with QB Jalen Hurts in 2022 and beyond or move in a different direction. But the 26-year-old Goedert is a solid hold in dynasty leagues regardless.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers. He's been out since Week 5. HC Ron Rivera confirmed that Samuel will be on a snap count if he ends up playing. He's not a Week 11 fantasy option.

Panthers HC Matt Rhule said Friday that QB Cam Newton "will take the first play" vs. Washington on Sunday. Cool. But Rhule also said QB P.J. Walker will "probably" play, as well. Not cool. We'll look for more details on Carolina's plan. But Newton would be tough to get behind even in Superflex leagues and DFS if he's not going to play 100% of the snaps.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 13, following Arizona's Week 12 bye. Last week, A.J. Green and Antoine Wesley operated as the Cardinals' primary outside WRs, with Christian Kirk in the slot. Rondale Moore was the #4 WR.

Giants HC Joe Judge confirmed Friday that S Logan Ryan has tested positive for COVID. The team was awaiting 1 more test to confirm that, according to ESPN's Jordan Ranaan, but they don't believe it to be a false positive. That would knock Ryan out for Monday night's game against the Buccaneers. Julian Love seems the likeliest replacement should Ryan sit.

49ers GM John Lynch called RB Elijah Mitchell (finger) a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt vs. the Jaguars. "He had type of break they thought he could function. But surgery might have been different than we anticipated," Lynch said. "Pain tolerance is not an issue, but he has to be able to function." We'll see if Mitchell practices later today and how he's listed on the final injury report. 49ers-Jaguars kicks off at 1 pm ET on Sunday, so we'll at least know Mitchell's status around 11:30 am ET.

Cowboys K Greg Zuerlein has been activated from the COVID list. He'll be back for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs and is a solid fantasy play in that likely shootout.

Browns RB Nick Chubb has been activated from the COVID list, putting him on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Lions. Chubb racked up 30 carries to D'Ernest Johnson's 12 across Weeks 8 and 9. We'd expect a similar split this weekend. The matchup vs. Detroit's 30th-ranked RB defense makes Chubb a RB1 and Johnson a RB3 or flex play.

Steelers WR Chase Claypool (toe) was limited on Thursday for the 2nd straight practice. It remains unclear whether he'll be ready for return for Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Seahawks TE Gerald Everett (groin) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He's seemingly in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. His availability for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks is still up in the air. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday. Don't expect him to play vs. the Seahawks this weekend, but we'll get one more update on his status tomorrow. Hopkins and the Cardinals get a Week 12 bye.
