Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Cardinals CB Byron Murphy (ankle) is active for today's game against the Jaguars.
Bills CB Levi Wallace (knee) is active for today's game against Washington.
Chiefs CB Charvarius Ward (quad) is inactive for today's game against the Chargers. Kansas City will also be without DE Frank Clark, who was doubtful after sustaining a hamstring injury in practice this week.
Patriots S Adrian Phillips is active for today's game against the Saints. He missed Thursday and Friday practices for personal reasons but appears good to go for the game. Phillips is a low-level IDP option, though.
Giants RB Devontae Booker is a surprise healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Falcons. Booker had been serving as New York's #2 RB. That job will now fall to rookie Gary Brightwell. Booker's absence can only be good news for RB Saquon Barkley's workload.
Giants TE Evan Engram (calf) is active for today’s game against the Falcons. He remained limited in practice all week and is a risky fantasy play until we know that he’s back to 100%.
Titans OLB Bud Dupree (knee) is active for today's game against the Colts. He entered questionable and still doesn't seem 100% back from last year's ACL tear. We'd try not to use him in IDP lineups. But he's available if you're in need.
Giants WR Kenny Golladay (hip) is active for today’s game vs. the Falcons. It’s a nice matchup -- but Golladay was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable. WRs coach Tyke Tolbert suggested that Golladay’s snaps might be reduced today. Consider him a risk/reward WR3.
Bears DT Eddie Goldman (knee) is inactive for today's game against the Browns. That significantly damages the run defense ahead of a matchup with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. The Bears are also down S Tashaun Gipson (hamstring). DE Akiem Hicks (illness, knee) and S Eddie Jackson (toe) are active. Each entered the day questionable.
Bills RB Matt Breida is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. Washington. It'll be Devin Singletary and Zack Moss in Buffalo's backfield.
Colts RB Marlon Mack is a healthy scratch for today's game against the Titans. Jordan Wilkins is active as Indy's #3 RB behind Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines. The news could mean a few extra carries for Taylor.
Bears WR Darnell Mooney (groin) is active for today’s game against the Browns. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so he comes with a bit more risk than usual in Week 3 fantasy lineups.
Colts QB Carson Wentz (ankles) is active for today’s game against the Titans. He’ll be playing through sprains to both of his ankles. Expect his mobility to be limited and his accuracy to potentially be affected. Wentz is obviously an extremely shaky fantasy play.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift (groin) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He was listed as questionable -- like he was the past 2 weeks -- but Swift should be ready to play his usual role.
Ravens WR Marquise Brown (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Lions. He only got in a limited practice on Friday and was listed as questionable. He was in the same boat last week, though, before playing 72% of Baltimore’s offensive snaps and posting a 6-113-1 line vs. the Chiefs. Brown remains an upside fantasy play vs. a bad Detroit defense.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Lions. He put in a full practice on Friday, so there wasn’t much concern here. Jackson is safe to get into Week 3 fantasy lineups.
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Steelers. Auden Tate figures step in as Cincinnati’s #3 WR but would be a desperation fantasy play. Higgins’ absence frees up a bunch of targets for WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd.
Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Jaguars. He was a game-time decision and carries added risk in Week 3 fantasy lineups. Of course, Hopkins still boasts WR1 upside -- especially in this plus matchup.
49ers RB Trey Sermon will "lead the way" and get the "bulk of carries" vs. the Packers tonight, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. We've heard the same from multiple 49ers beat writers. Sermon isn't the safest Week 3 fantasy play -- but he has loads of upside in a plus matchup.
Giants WRs coach Tyke Tolbert suggested that WR Kenny Golladay's snaps might be reduced against the Falcons today. Golladay is dealing with a hip injury and his "conditioning level is not where it should be," Tolbert said. "One of the things I can help him with personally is probably to lessen his snaps a little bit," Tolbert added. We're still expecting Golladay to be out there for most of the Giants' passing plays today -- but this certainly adds downside to his fantasy profile.
