Fortunately, he'll get a Week 11 bye on the other side of this game to rest it. We'll see whether anything else comes out about Buckner missing further time.

Falcons QB Michael Penix (knee) is off the final Week 9 injury report and will start Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots. It’s good news for Atlanta’s offense after what we saw from QB Kirk Cousins last week, but Penix is no better than a lower-end QB2 in fantasy lineups.

The Falcons are benching QB Kirk Cousins and going to QB Michael Penix, according to both NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter. Atlanta stuck with Cousins for too long, losing four of the last five and falling out of first place in the NFC South. Penix obviously lacks Cousins' experience but should prove to be a big upgrade in terms of arm talent. We'd still expect the Falcons to be a run-heavy offense going forward, especially as big favorites over the Giants this weekend.

The Falcons scored 36 points and produced 550 yards of total offense in Thursday night's win over the Bucs. Surely Bijan Robinson had a big game. Right? Nope. He finished with 77 scoreless yards. Atlanta went pass-heavy in this one, throwing 59 passes vs. 18 runs. Robinson handled 12 of those runs and produced 61 yards (5.1 yards per carry). The highlight was a 28-yarder at the end of the third quarter that included impressive burst and balance. Robinson, though, was not very involved in the passing game. His three targets tied for fifth on the team and were just 5.1% of the Falcons' total. Robinson caught all three for 16 yards.

Falcons RB Bijan Robinson only ran the ball seven times for 28 yards, though he did catch four passes for 46 yards. He was actually outrushed by RB Tyler Allgeier who ran the ball eight times for 60 yards.
