Dyami Brown Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

After being released by the Texans, WR Noah Brown found a new home on the active roster with the Washington Commanders. Brown has had over 550 yards receiving in each of the last two seasons with the Cowboys and Texans.

The Commanders have agreed to trade WR Jahan Dotson to the Eagles. They're sending Dotson plus a fifth-round pick to their division rival for a third-round pick and two seventh-rounders -- all in the 2025 draft, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and other reports.

Commanders HC Dan Quinn suggested multiple times this past week that there's an ongoing competition for the team's No. 2 and No. 3 WR spots. After Saturday night's preseason game, Quinn said that it might wind up being a rotation with WRs Jahan Dotson, Dyami Brown, and Olamide Zaccheaus.

WR Jahan Dotson worked as the Commanders' primary slot man in the team's preseason opener against the Jets. He opened the game in the slot, with Terry McLaurin and Dyami Brown as the outside WRs. According to Pro Football Focus, Dotson matched McLaurin's and QB Jayden Daniels' 11 first-team snaps -- while Brown totaled just four. Dotson went on to play some with the second unit as well, though, after McLaurin and Daniels left. Dotson also remained in the slot when Olamide Zaccheaus replaced Brown for some three-WR sets with the first team. That's especially noteworthy, because Zaccheaus played 61% and 68% of his snaps in the slot the past two years (in Atlanta, then Philly).

Commanders WR Dyami Brown (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Colts. Cam Sims will continue to operate as the #3 WR behind Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.

Commanders WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Colts. The rookie remained sidelined for practice all week. WR Dyami Brown (groin) is listed as questionable but obviously shouldn’t be in your fantasy plans.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) a "long shot" to play vs. the Packers today. That's not a surprise after Dotson re-injured that hamstring in Thursday's practice. With WR Dyami Brown (groin) out, Cam Sims will operate as Washington's #3 WR behind Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.

Commanders WR Jahan Datson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Packers. He appeared to re-injure that hamstring on Thursday and then didn’t practice on Friday. So, even if Dotson suits up on Sunday, he’d be a very risky fantasy play. WR Dyami Brown (groin) has been ruled out.

Commanders WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday night's game vs. the Bears, as expected. We'll see if the rookie can make it back for Week 7. Dotson's absence leaves Curtis Samuel and Terry McLaurin as Washington's clear top 2 WRs. WRs Cam Sims and Dyami Brown figure to split snaps and routes behind them.

Commanders WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. He's a long shot to play vs. the Bears on Thursday night. Cam Sims finished 3rd among Washington WRs with a 62% route rate last week, but it was WR Dyami Brown who posted the big 2-TD day. Sims and Brown are only considerations in 1-game DFS contests.

Dyami Brown was the big producer among Commanders WRs in Sunday's loss to the Titans. He caught just 2 passes among 4 targets for the game, but both went for scores -- from 75 and 30 yards out. Brown ranked just 5th among Washington wideouts in playing time, though. Curtis Samuel led the group, and led the team in targets for the 5th straight game. He caught 6 of 8 looks for 62 yards. Terry McLaurin trailed Samuel and J.D. McKissic but posted a solid 5-76 receiving line on his 6 targets.

Commanders HC Ron Rivera said Monday that WR Jahan Dotson's hamstring injury "might keep him out a week or 2." So expect the rookie to at least miss this Sunday's game vs. the Titans. We'll see about his Week 6 availability. WR Dyami Brown picked up Dotson's snaps after he exited Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.

Washington WRs Curtis Samuel (groin) and Dyami Brown (knee) are out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) is listed as questionable. Terry McLaurin, of course, is the only Washington WR that should be in fantasy lineups.

Washington WR Dyami Brown is expected to miss Sunday's game vs. the Broncos with a "minor" knee injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown is getting an MRI on Monday, but it sounds like the team expects him back after the Week 9 bye. We'll see if Washington gets WRs Curtis Samuel and/or Cam Sims back this weekend.

11:35am EDT 10/17/21

Washington WR Dyami Brown (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Chiefs. He joins Terry McLaurin, Adam Humphries, Deandre Carter, Antonio Gandy-Golden and Dax Milne in Washington’s WR corps.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. He appears to be looking at another multi-week absence. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) has also been ruled out. WR Dyami Brown (knee) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. With WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) also questionable, Adam Humphries, Deandre Carter and Dax Milne are Washington's only healthy WRs. It's obviously a concern for QB Taylor Heinicke.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. He only got in a limited practice on Friday after playing just 37% of the offensive snaps last week. He’s not a fantasy option until we know he’s at least close to fully healthy. WRs Dyami Brown (knee) and Cam Sims (hamstring) are out for Week 5.

Washington WR Dyami Brown was knocked out of Sunday's game in Atlanta with a knee injury. With WR Curtis Samuel back, Brown was off the redraft radar anyway.

12:09pm EDT 9/10/21

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) has been placed on IR. So he'll miss at least the first 3 games of the season with this groin injury that's lingered since spring OTAs. Samuel isn't a must-hold in fantasy leagues without an IR spot. His absence should move rookie WR Dyami Brown into the starting lineup, although Washington might rotate him with WR Cam Sims. Adam Humphries will be the slot receiver.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) did not practice on Thursday. He's looking like a long shot for this weekend's game vs. the Chargers. Look for rookie WR Dyami Brown to join WR Terry McLaurin on the outside, with WR Adam Humphries in the slot.
