That leaves Deebo Samuel, Chris Moore, and Jaylin Lane as the team's top three WRs for this weekend's game vs. the Lions. Treylon Burks finished fourth among Commanders WRs in routes vs. Seattle after being elevated from the practice squad on Saturday.

That's not a surprising development after he managed just one limited practice on an injured heel and entered the game questionable. But it's worth noting that he played near his normal amount. The 72.3% snap share marked his second-lowest of the season but one of three games he's had in the 70s. Samuel's five targets tied for second on the team, trailing only TE Zach Ertz. Chris Moore (3-46-1 receiving) and Luke McCaffrey (1-33-1) joined Ertz in snagging TDs from Jayden Daniels.

The veteran was operating as Washington’s WR2, but now those snaps will go to Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Luke McCaffrey. You shouldn’t count on any of those WRs for Week 15 fantasy production at New Orleans. Meanwhile, Terry McLaurin's outlook improves as a fantasy WR2.

Commanders WR Noah Brown (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. He ranked second among the team's WRs in routes each of the last two weeks. Brown's absence will mean more playing time for some combination of WRs Luke McCaffrey, Dyami Brown, and Olamide Zaccheaus. None is a legitimate Week 5 fantasy option.

After being released by the Texans, WR Noah Brown found a new home on the active roster with the Washington Commanders. Brown has had over 550 yards receiving in each of the last two seasons with the Cowboys and Texans.

The Commanders have agreed to trade WR Jahan Dotson to the Eagles. They're sending Dotson plus a fifth-round pick to their division rival for a third-round pick and two seventh-rounders -- all in the 2025 draft, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and other reports.

Commanders HC Dan Quinn suggested multiple times this past week that there's an ongoing competition for the team's No. 2 and No. 3 WR spots. After Saturday night's preseason game, Quinn said that it might wind up being a rotation with WRs Jahan Dotson, Dyami Brown, and Olamide Zaccheaus.

WR Jahan Dotson worked as the Commanders' primary slot man in the team's preseason opener against the Jets. He opened the game in the slot, with Terry McLaurin and Dyami Brown as the outside WRs. According to Pro Football Focus, Dotson matched McLaurin's and QB Jayden Daniels' 11 first-team snaps -- while Brown totaled just four. Dotson went on to play some with the second unit as well, though, after McLaurin and Daniels left. Dotson also remained in the slot when Olamide Zaccheaus replaced Brown for some three-WR sets with the first team. That's especially noteworthy, because Zaccheaus played 61% and 68% of his snaps in the slot the past two years (in Atlanta, then Philly).
