Commanders WR Luke McCaffrey broke his collarbone in Sunday night's loss to the Seahawks and will be placed on IR, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. McCaffrey will "likely" miss the rest of the season, Rapoport adds. He can be dropped in all redraft leagues. It's another blow to a Washington WR corps that's missed Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown for much of the year. McLaurin could miss another couple of games, while Brown is out for at least one more. That leaves Deebo Samuel, Chris Moore, and Jaylin Lane as the team's top three WRs for this weekend's game vs. the Lions. Treylon Burks finished fourth among Commanders WRs in routes vs. Seattle after being elevated from the practice squad on Saturday.
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin suffered a setback with his quad injury in Monday night's loss to the Chiefs and is out for Week 9, HC Dan Quinn said Wednesday. McLaurin missed four weeks with this injury the first time, and players often miss more time with setbacks. That's just speculation -- and we'll look for more info on McLaurin's status -- but fantasy managers should plan to be without him beyond Week 9.
Washington has downgraded WR Deebo Samuel to out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. He's not even traveling with the team, thanks to the heel injury that he played through in last Monday night's loss to the Bears. Samuel still led the team's pass catchers in playing time for that contest.
Commanders WR Deebo Samuel managed just 4 receptions for 15 yards in Monday night's loss to the Bears. That's not a surprising development after he managed just one limited practice on an injured heel and entered the game questionable. But it's worth noting that he played near his normal amount. The 72.3% snap share marked his second-lowest of the season but one of three games he's had in the 70s. Samuel's five targets tied for second on the team, trailing only TE Zach Ertz. Chris Moore (3-46-1 receiving) and Luke McCaffrey (1-33-1) joined Ertz in snagging TDs from Jayden Daniels.
Commanders WRs Terry McLaurin (quad) and Noah Brown (groin, knee) are out for Monday night's game vs. the Bears. HC Dan Quinn said early this week that he was "optimistic" about McLaurin's availability for this one, but he ended up missing all three practices. He remains without a concrete timetable for return. WR Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey, and Jaylin Lane will continue to rotate behind Deebo Samuel vs. Chicago.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that WR Terry McLaurin has been ruled OUT for Week 5. McLaurin, WR Noah Brown, and G Sam Cosmi will not travel to Los Angeles to face the Chargers.
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (quad) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. He sought multiple opinions on his injury this week and won’t need surgery "at this point," NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo said Thursday. We’ll see if McLaurin can make it back for Week 5. His absence on Sunday will mean more snaps for WRs Chris Moore, Jaylin Lane, and Luke McCaffrey, but none is a bankable fantasy play.
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (quad) is "very much in doubt" for Sunday's game against the Falcons, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Would not be surprised at all if he missed the game," Rapoport adds. McLaurin is still seeking additional opinions on his injury, including from core-muscle expect Dr. William Meyers. "As of now, they believe it's a quad injury. But more tests coming," Rapoport says. We'll look for further details on McLaurin's injury, but he seems unlikely at this point to be ready by Sunday.
Cardinals WR Zay Jones has been suspended for the first five games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Jones was arrested in November and charged with domestic battery, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Those charges were later dropped, but the league evidently found enough evidence of wrongdoing to hand down this suspension.
Titans WR Treylon Burks (concussion) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. Chris Moore stepped in as Tennessee’s No. 2 WR last week but caught just two balls for 21 yards. DeAndre Hopkins remains the only viable fantasy play in this WR corps.
Texans WRs Brandin Cooks (calf) and Chris Moore (elbow) are active for today’s game vs. the Titans. They figure to operate as Houston’s top 2 WRs in this plus matchup. See where Cooks and Moore sit in the Week 16 WR Rankings.
The Texans have placed WR Nico Collins on IR for his foot injury, ending his season. That should continue the elevated role for WR Chris Moore, though he's questionable for Saturday's game against the Titans with a foot injury that limited his practice all week. WR Brandin Cooks (calf) is also questionable, despite putting in full practices Wednesday and Thursday.
Texans WR Nico Collins (foot) has been ruled out for Week 16's contest vs. the Titans. His teammates, Brandin Cooks (calf) and Chris Moore (elbow), are officially listed as questionable. Cooks managed to practice in full on Wednesday and Thursday while Moore was limited all week. Both Cooks and Moore carry flex-worthy appeal should they be able to suit up. The Titans' defense is the friendliest matchup for WRs in adjusted fantasy points allowed. That doesn't make the Texans' offense good all of a sudden but it does help.
Texans WR Nico Collins (foot) did not practice for the 2nd day in a row on Wednesday. Fellow wideout Chris Moore (foot) logged his 2nd straight limited practice as well. In better news, Brandin Cooks (calf) upgraded to full participation at practice. With Week 16's game vs. the Titans falling on Saturday, Thursday's practice report will be very telling about Collins' and Moore's availability. Check back tomorrow as this news evolves.
The Texans have a slew of injuries in their WR room ahead of Saturday's game vs. the Titans. Nico Collins (foot) did not practice on Tuesday, and both Brandin Cooks (calf) and Chris Moore (foot) logged limited participation. Today's reports will shed some light on their collective situations. It is difficult to project the fantasy viability of the Texans at this time, so stay tuned. We'll keep you updated.
Texans WR Chris Moore drew a team-high 9 targets in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. He caught 4 for 42 yards, both of which also led the team. TE Jordan Akins went 3-22-1 receiving on 6 targets. TE Teagan Quitoriano claimed the other TD reception from 8 yards out on his only catch. We'll see whether Houston gets WR Nico Collins or WR Brandin Cooks back for Week 16.
Texans WRs Nico Collins (foot) and Brandin Cooks (calf) have been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. Cooks actually got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday; Collins was sidelined all week. Chris Moore, Phillip Dorsett and Amari Rodgers will again operate as Houston's top 3 WRs this weekend.
Texans WRs Brandin Cooks (calf) and Nico Collins (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. If they miss this weekend's game vs. the Chiefs, WR Chris Moore will be in play as a low-end option in PPR leagues.
Texans WR Chris Moore racked up 10 catches for 124 yards among 11 targets in Sunday's narrow loss at Dallas. He worked as the lead pass-catcher with WRs Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins both out. WR Amari Rodgers was the only other Texan with more than 3 targets. He caught 4 of 5 looks for 57 yards, including the team's only TD reception. We'll see about the status of Cooks and Collins for Week 15's home date with the Chiefs.
Texans WRs Nico Collins (foot) and Brandin Cooks (calf) are out for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. That leaves Phillip Dorsett, Chris Moore and Amari Rodgers as Houston's top 3 WRs. They're only worth considering as cheap DFS tournament fliers.
