Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs (ankle) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Titans. He's avoided IR, so we'll see if the rookie can make it back from his high-ankle sprain for Week 12. Allen Lazard and Christian Watson will again operate as Green Bay's top 2 WRs tomorrow.

The Packers have ruled LB De'Vondre Campbell out for the 2nd straight game with a knee injury. That should leave rookie LB Isaiah McDuffie as the #2 to rookie LB Quay Walker once again.

The Commanders are expected to activate EDGE Chase Young from the PUP list ahead of Sunday's games against the Texans, according to multiple reports. We'd still bet on Washington bringing him along slowly in game action. Young has been out since mid-November last season with an ACL tear plus other damage. The team has been cautious with him to this point. We'll see what his playing time looks like before considering Young for IDP lineup use.

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that he's "optimistic" S Minkah Fitzpatrick will be ready for Sunday's game against the Bengals, according to Chris Halicke of DKPittsburghSports.com. Fitzpatrick missed last week's game for appendicitis. We'll watch to confirm his readiness for Week 11.

Colts LB Shaquille Leonard had back surgery Tuesday and will miss the rest of the season. The operation was reportedly successful, so he should have time to get ready for 2023. In the meantime, Zaire Franklin and Bobby Okereke should be locked in as Indy's full-time LBs the rest of this season.

The Lions have designated WR D.J. Chark to return from IR. Shark hasn't played since Week 3 because of an ankle injury. The team now has 3 weeks to decide whether to return him to the active roster. We'll see how soon Chark actually gets back into the lineup, and we'll need to see at least 1 game from him before considering him for fantasy football lineups. Chark collected 7 catches for 96 yards across the 1st 3 games of the year.

Broncos WR K.J. Hamler will miss the "next few weeks" with his hamstring injury, HC Nathaniel Hackett said Wednesday. Hamler has not been able to stay healthy as a pro, appearing in just 23 games over the past 3 seasons. He's not worth a roster spot in redraft leagues -- and his dynasty value is fading fast.

The Titans have ruled S Amani Hooker (shoulder) and EDGE Bud Dupree (hip) out for Thursday night's game against the Packers. DT Jeffery Simmons (ankle) is questionable. He missed Sunday's win over the Broncos but returned for limited practices the past 2 days. Simmons seems to be trending toward returning for this game and will be worth using in IDP lineups if available.

The Titans have ruled K Randy Bullock (calf) out for Thursday night's game against the Packers and added K Josh Lambo to the active roster. He'll kick against Green Bay.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) was limited in Wednesday's practice. It's a reminder that he's still not at 100%. But Allen is fully expected to start Sunday's game vs. the Browns and remains a high-end fantasy option.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews (shoulder, knee) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It'd have been nice to see him full go coming off the bye, but this seemingly puts Andrews on track to play vs. the Panthers this weekend. We'll update his status again tomorrow.

Saints QB Andy Dalton will start Sunday's game vs. the Rams, HC Dennis Allen said Wednesday. Dalton has been bad the past 2 weeks, averaging just 6.9 yards per attempt with 2 TDs but 3 INTs. Allen said the staff considered going back to QB Jameis Winston but that he still isn't 100% healthy and might not be for the rest of the season.

Lions WR D.J. Chark (ankle) has been designated to return from IR. He's expected "to do a little bit" in Wednesday's practice, per insider Tim Twentyman. It doesn't sound like Chark will be ready to play vs. the Giants this weekend, but we'll monitor his progress.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (shoulder) has been placed on IR. We still don't have any details on his injury or a timetable for return, but he's now out for at least the next 4 games. That makes Week 15 his earliest possible return. We'd still try to keep Goedert stashed, but owners in short-bench leagues might need to drop him.

The Cardinals have designated WR Marquise Brown (foot) to return from IR. That opens a 3-week window for him to return to practice and the team to decide whether to put him back on the active roster. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds, however, that Brown "could play" this Monday night against the 49ers. He's worth grabbing off waivers this week where available either way but would be tough to throw into fantasy football lineups right away. We'll keep an eye on Brown's status heading into the weekend.

The Saints signed RB David Johnson to their practice squad, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. Johnson turns 31 in a month and mustered just 3.4 yards per carry on 67 attempts with the Texans last year. New Orleans is expected to be without RB Mark Ingram for another week or 2, so Johnson might find his way onto the active roster. But he remains well off the fantasy radar.

The Bengals are "hopeful" that WR Ja'Marr Chase (hip) will be back for Week 12, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. That seems like the best-case scenario considering Chase was still on crutches as of Monday. We'll continue to track his progress, but Chase is a heavy favorite to miss this weekend's game vs. the Steelers.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler believes the Cardinals might give QB Kyler Murray's injured hamstring "another week or so to heal." We've been expecting Murray to play vs. the 49ers on Monday night considering he got in a couple of limited practices last week, but Fowler says Arizona will see how Murray progresses throughout this week. Fowler adds that the Cardinals believe they can win with QB Colt McCoy, who's 3-1 as the team's starter. We'll get Arizona's first practice report of the week this afternoon.

Packers WR Randall Cobb (ankle) has been designated to return from IR. He's now eligible to practice and be activated for Thursday night's game vs. the Titans. We'll see if Cobb is ready for that one. When healthy, he figures to step back in as Green Bay's primary slot receiver. Cobb averaged 5.0 targets, 3.4 catches and 50 yards over the first 5 games of the season.

Titans K Randy Bullock (calf) did not practice on Tuesday. Tennessee signed K Josh Lambo earlier today, so it looks like Bullock is in danger of missing Thursday night's game vs. the Packers. Avoid this situation in Week 11 fantasy lineups.
