Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Steelers RB Najee Harris said Friday that he just took a steel plate out of his shoe earlier this week. He'd been playing with that plate since suffering what was reported as a sprained Lisfranc in his left foot early in training camp. Harris said he now feels like he's back to 100%. We'll see if that means more volume and better efficiency going forward. But until we see it, Harris should be considered a low-upside RB2.

49ers RB Ty Davis-Price (ankle) is not listed on the final injury report and will be available for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. Assuming the rookie is active, he figures to be 3rd on the depth chart behind RBs Jeff Wilson and Tevin Coleman.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers after a limited week of practice. Pitts said earlier in the week that he'll return for this one, but it's clear that he's still not at 100%. Consider Pitts a risk/reward low-end TE1 for Week 6.

Colts HC Frank Reich said Friday afternoon that RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) "has a chance to play" vs. the Jaguars this weekend. We're waiting for Indianapolis' final injury report, but it sounds like Taylor will be listed as questionable. Stay tuned.

The Panthers are listing QB Baker Mayfield (ankle) as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Rams. Interim HC Steve Wilks said Friday that Mayfield might be active as the backup but confirmed that QB P.J. Walker will get the start.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley said Thursday that his injured shoulder "feels pretty good" and that he doesn't expect to be limited in Sunday's game vs. the Packers. “I’ve just been rehabbing it, being smart, but I’m excited for us to get a chance to go against a really good football team," Barkley added. He remains a must-start in Week 6 fantasy lineups.

Commanders TE John Bates was knocked out of Thursday night's game vs. the Bears with a hamstring injury before seeing a target. That left TE duties to Cole Turner, who finished with 2 catches on 2 targets for 23 yards. We'll see if Bates and/or TE Logan Thomas (calf) make it back for Week 7.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Thursday. That gives him a shot to return for Monday night's game vs. the Broncos, but we'll see what he's able to do the next couple of days.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Thursday -- 6 days removed from receiving an injection in his throwing shoulder. Wilson is expected to play vs. the Chargers on Monday night, but he'd be a shaky fantasy play.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (thumb) was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. It's his 1st official practice since going down in the season opener. We're still not expecting Prescott to play vs. the Eagles on Sunday night, but a Week 7 return looks doable.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett was added to Thursday's injury report with a hamstring and limited in practice. We don't have any other details, but it looks like Lockett hurt the hamstring in Thursday's practice. Check back tomorrow for an update on his status for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers, but check back tomorrow for another update on Higbee's status.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It sounds like he'll be fine for this weekend's game vs. the Rams, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We'll see if he's able to play vs. the Steelers this weekend, but he's tough to like in fantasy lineups at less than 100%.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice. He's fully expected to play vs. the Ravens this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (foot) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Giants.

Saints QB Jameis Winston (back, ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. It's still unclear whether he'll be back under center vs. the Bengals this weekend. We should have a better idea of Winston's status when we get New Orleans' final injury report on Friday afternoon.

Saints WR Chris Olave (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's made some progress through the protocol but still has multiple stages to pass in order to be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. We'll get another update on Olave tomorrow.

Saints WRs Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. At this point, both guys look likely to miss this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. We'll see if that changes on Friday.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (ankle) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. He was spotted doing some rehab work on a side field but is looking unlikely to play vs. the Saints this weekend. We'll get another update on Higgins tomorrow.
