Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Raiders RB Brandon Bolden (hamstring) didn't practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. Bolden replaced RB Josh Jacobs on some passing downs in the opener. Look for RB Ameer Abdullah to pick up that work in Week 2.

Cardinals TE Zach Ertz (calf) is not listed on the final Week 2 injury report after putting in full practices on Thursday and Friday. He was limited to 60% of the snaps in the opener, but it looks like he's ready for a full-time role vs. the Raiders on Sunday. Ertz could see big volume in that game with WRs Rondale Moore and DeAndre Hopkins out.

Broncos EDGE Randy Gregory (shoulder, knee) and LB Josey Jewell (calf) are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans. Gregory played through a questionable tag in Week 1, so we’d bet on him doing so again. Jewell missed Week 1. Alex Singleton worked as the lead LB in his absence and would carry tackle upside again if Jewell sits

Colts DT DeForest Buckner is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars with a hip injury. ESPN’s Stephen Holder writes “odds are that Buckner will play” but adds that he’ll test the hip Saturday. We’ll watch the status for the defensive star

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Chargers QB Justin Herbert has fractured rib cartilage. HC Brandon Staley reportedly said the team will assess Herbert’s status Wednesday. If your league runs waivers before that, then make sure you have an insurance QB for Week 3

Packers WR Allen Lazard (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Bears. He was limited in all 3 practices this week. The late kickoff could make this a tricky situation for folks hoping to use Lazard in fantasy lineups. We’ll see if we get an update on his status on Sunday morning.

Lions RB D’Andre Swift (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but Swift reportedly played through this injury last week and is expected to play on Sunday. The ankle adds at least a little downside, though. Detroit will also be without C Frank Ragnow (groin, foot) and RG Halapoulivaati Vaitai (back), while LG Jonah Jackson (finger) is listed as questionable after missing practice on Thursday and Friday.

Ravens WR James Proche (groin) is doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. He played just 5 snaps in the opener, so there's no fantasy impact here.

The Ravens list RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. He was a full participant in practice all week, though, so we're expecting Dobbins to play. We're also expecting his touches to be limited in his first action since last August's multi-ligament knee injury, so Dobbins is better off on fantasy benches for at least 1 more week.

Saints QB Jameis Winston (back) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Bucs. We haven't heard any concern about his status, but you'll need to check back Sunday morning to make sure he's active if you're hoping to use him in a fantasy lineup.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (rib) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs. He was limited in Wednesday's practice but sidelined on Thursday and Friday. So Kamara looks truly iffy for this one. RBs Mark Ingram (ankle) and Dwayne Washington (hamstring) are also listed as questionable after limited weeks of practice. The Saints also have RB Tony Jones on the active roster and RB Latavius Murray on the practice squad. We'll get their inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Jets QB Zach Wilson (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. He got in 3 limited practices this week, so perhaps he’s back for Week 3. QB Joe Flacco gets another start this weekend.

Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. He got in just a limited practice on Friday and won't be at 100% if he suits up on Sunday. We'll get the Bucs' inactives around 11:30 am.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) is officially out for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He's expected to miss a few weeks with this hamstring injury, so don't count on having him for Week 3.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday after sitting out on Wednesday. We're expecting Gage to play on Sunday, but don't expect him to be at 100%. He was targeted twice and played just 42% of Tampa's offensive snaps in the opener.

Bucs RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He got in 3 limited practices this week. We haven't heard any real concern over this hamstring issue, but you'll need to check back Sunday morning to make sure Fournette is active.

Bucs WR Mike Evans (calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. He only got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday. We're expecting Evans to play on Sunday, but the calf issue adds risk to his fantasy profile.

Patriots QB Mac Jones (back, illness) isn’t listed on the final Week 2 injury report. He put in full practices on Wednesday and Friday, missing Thursday’s practice with an illness. Jones should be at least close to 100% for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers but is just a low-end QB2 in fantasy.

Steelers RB Najee Harris (foot) isn't listed on the final Week 2 injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday. So it looks like Harris is ready for his usual workload in Sunday's game vs. the Patriots.

Jets TE C.J. Uzomah (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. He played well behind TE Tyler Conklin in the opener and is off the fantasy radar. But Uzomah's absence can't hurt Conklin's Week 2 projection.
