Dalton Kincaid Out For Week 12

        3:49pm UTC 11/19/25

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Texans. He's yet to practice since going down in Week 10, so we'd consider him iffy to make it back for Week 13's meeting with the Steelers. TE Dawson Knox has registered 77% and 85% route rates in the two games Kincaid has missed this season, although he's totaled just five targets on a 9% share across those two games. WRs Curtis Samuel (elbow, neck) and Mecole Hardman (calf) have also been ruled out for Week 12.

Bills Elevate Gabe Davis and Mecole Hardman

        9:31pm UTC 11/15/25

The Bills elevated WRs Gabe Davis and Mecole Hardman from the practice squad. Davis re-signed with Buffalo at the beginning of September after spending his first four NFL seasons with the team. Hardman joined the Bills' practice squad earlier this week. We wouldn't go rushing to add either guy to fantasy rosters -- and neither should be anywhere near starting lineups. But we're curious to see where these guys fit in the pecking order. Davis, in particular, adds some risk to WR Keon Coleman's fantasy outlook. Khalil Shakir is the only Bills WR that should be in Week 11 fantasy lineups.

The Chiefs placed WR Mecole Hardman (knee) on IR. He's out until at least Week 18 after hurting his knee on Friday. Hardman has averaged just 1.2 targets per game this season, so there's very little fantasy impact here.

Xavier Worthy, Justin Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, and Mecole Hardman operated as Kansas City's top four WRs last week, with all four seeing some snaps in the slot. Worthy and Hopkins both sit in WR3 range in the Week 9 Rankings.

The Chiefs have agreed to a one-year deal with WR Mecole Hardman, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Hardman, of course, closed out 2023 with his original team after washing out on a one-year free-agent contract with the Jets. He's still heading into just his age-26 season.

WR Skyy Moore (knee) has been ruled out. Rice would presumably be playing if this game meant anything, but we'll track his status during next week's prep for the Wild Card Round. Kansas City will have WRs Justin Watson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Richie James, Mecole Hardman, and Justyn Ross available on Sunday.

The Chiefs activated WR Mecole Hardman (thumb) from IR, setting him up to play vs. the Bengals on Sunday. Hardman will add some depth to Kansas City's WR corps but isn't a realistic fantasy play. He averaged 2.5 targets, 2.0 catches, and 10 receiving yards across four games with the Chiefs earlier this season.

Mecole Hardman heading back to Kansas City

        9:44pm UTC 10/18/23

The Jets traded WR Mecole Hardman to the Chiefs in exchange for a swap of late-round picks in 2025, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Hardman signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Jets in free agency this offseason -- and wound up catching one pass for the team. Now he heads back to the team he spent his first four NFL seasons with. Hardman was largely disappointing with the Chiefs but did average 4.7 targets, 3.4 catches, and 40 yards per game across the 2021 and 2022 campaigns. Kansas City's 2023 WR corps has been completely underwhelming and just lost Justin Watson to an elbow injury. Expect to see Hardman step into a significant role rather quickly, although he's still unlikely to be an asset to fantasy football teams. He's only worth grabbing in very deep leagues.

Randall Cobb a Week 1 starter?

The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt believes WR Randall Cobb will "likely start in Week 1." The scenario would have Cobb in the slot between Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard -- and leave Mecole Hardman as the No. 4 WR. We'd still rather take a shot on Hardman than Cobb at the end of fantasy drafts, but neither guy is an appealing pick.

        Corey Davis to stay put

        10:20am UTC 7/25/23

Jets WR Corey Davis shared his thoughts following an offseason of trade/cut rumors. “All of that was out of my control,” Davis said. “It was kind of a long offseason. There was a point where there was uncertainty. Obviously, with all the moves going on, it’s hard not to think that. It’s still a business, but I’m happy to be here. Happy they kept me.” New York added WRs Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman. But HC Robert Saleh said all offseason that the team intended to keep Davis. The 28-year-old is under contract for one more season, and he’s essentially free in current fantasy drafts.

        Jets pick up another WR

        3:37pm UTC 3/22/23

The Jets have agreed to a one-year deal with WR Mecole Hardman, worth up to $6.5 million. Hardman missed the final nine regular-season games last year, as well as the playoff opener. He returned for limited use in the conference-title game but then missed the Super Bowl. He'll have a tough time climbing higher than fourth among Jets WRs, behind Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and Elijah Moore. WR Corey Davis also remains on the roster, though he has been rumored to be a candidate for trade or cut. It seems telling that the Chiefs didn't bother keeping Hardman around at such low contract terms. Don't bother mixing him into your best ball draft plans as anything more than an end-of-draft flier.

Update: Right after the Hardman deal's announcement came the Jets trading WR Elijah Moore to Cleveland. That obviously creates more room for Hardman, though we'll see what other moves are coming. We'll also see about Hardman's recovery from Feb. 21 pelvic surgery.

        Hardman moving on?

        1:55pm UTC 3/5/23

Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Chiefs are “bracing to lose” WR Mecole Hardman in free agency. Hardman, who underwent groin surgery in February, appeared in only 8 games this past season. 30% of his fantasy production came in one game (Week 7, at San Francisco). According to Fowler, the Chiefs will “attempt” to re-sign WR JuJu Smith-Schuster. Even if the 26-year-old returns, we expect Kansas City to add WR talent this offseason.
