Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Rams HC Sean McVay said Friday that QB Matt Stafford is not expected to need surgery on his spinal cord contusion and should be healthy for the offseason program. There's been some speculation that Stafford's injury could force him to retire, but it at least sounds like McVay expects him to be back for 2023. We'll monitor Stafford's status throughout the offseason.

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (groin) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Patriots. WR Greg Dortch (thumb) isn't listed on the final injury report after a full week of practice, putting him in line to operate as Arizona's primary slot receiver this week. Dortch has averaged 8.3 targets in 4 games with a 70+% snap rate this season -- although we wouldn't bet on quite that much volume this week with WRs DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown both playing.

The Steelers have activated K Chris Boswell from IR and released K Matthew Wright. Take note if you’re starting a Steelers kicker vs. the Ravens

Patriots RB Damien Harris (thigh) is doubtful for Monday night’s game against the Cardinals. That means another game of Rhamondre Stevenson as workhorse back. The fantasy football ceiling is high.

The Patriots have ruled WR Jakobi Meyers (concussion) out for Monday night's game against the Cardinals. He was limited last time out coming off his Thanksgiving night shoulder surgery, so his absence doesn't leave quite as many targets to spread around as it usually would.

The Ravens are activating RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers. OC Greg Roman says the team expects Dobbins to run more effectively than he was before having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. "I really think that time off and what he was able to take care of is going to make a big impact on his effectiveness," Roman said, per ESPN. Doctors reportedly cleared scar tissue out of Dobbins' already repaired knee (ACL tear). We'll see just how big a role he can carve out the rest of this season.

Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt has been upgraded for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Originally questionable with a rib issue, he now carries no injury designation. We already expected Watt to play, after he played through a questionable tag for the same injury last week. But this indicates he's healthier. As you set your IDP lineups, though, keep in mind that we haven't gotten the same Watt since he returned from IR. You'll find Watt lower in our Week 14 IDP rankings than he sat the previous few weeks.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is expected to play vs. the Titans on Sunday. That's been the feeling all week, although Lawrence only got in a limited practice on Friday. We'll get Jacksonville's inactives around 11:30 am ET tomorrow.

The Score's Jordan Schultz reports that Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) won't play vs. the Broncos on Sunday. "I’m told Toney has made good progress and the Chiefs are hopeful he’ll be good to go next week," Schultz adds. Kansas City will roll with WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson and Skyy Moore against Denver tomorrow.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (hip) has been removed from the Week 14 injury report and will play vs. the Ravens on Sunday. He got in just limited practices on Wednesday and Friday this week, so it's safe to assume that he won't be at 100% tomorrow. Johnson is a weak WR3 play.

The Ravens are waiving RB Mike Davis. ESPN’s Adam Schefter says the move is “paving the way” for the team to activate RB J.K. Dobbins off IR today. We wouldn’t put Dobbins in Week 14 fantasy football lineups, and we’re betting on Baltimore operating a backfield committee the rest of the way. But a full-strength Dobbins is the group’s biggest talent. So his role and play will be worth watching

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Giants RB Saquon Barkley is "legitimately 50-50" to be active for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Officially questionable, Barkley was limited in practice Thursday and Friday and will carry some risk even if active. We'll certainly be tracking his status Sunday morning. RB-needy teams could add Matt Breida ahead of game time, though he wouldn't be a strong fantasy football option even if Barkley is inactive.

Lions CB Jeff Okudah is questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings. He missed Wednesday and Thursday with an illness this week before putting in a limited Friday workout. Okudah played a key role in Detroit limiting Vikings WR Justin Jefferson in their 1st meeting this season. His presence Sunday shouldn't affect whether you're playing Jefferson in fantasy football lineups, but Okudah matters for the quality of Detroit's defense overall. He also could be in for plenty of opportunities for IDP upside, if active.

Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers (concussion) remained sidelined on Friday. He still has a few days to get cleared for Monday night’s game vs. the Cardinals, but that doesn’t seem particularly likely. We’ll get another update on Meyers tomorrow.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and will play on Sunday, HC Pete Carroll said. Dissly should continue splitting routes with TE Noah Fant and would be a desperation fantasy play.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. Neither guy practiced all week, but HC Pete Carroll labeled them game-time decisions. RB Travis Homer (knee) isn’t listed on the final injury report and will be available on Sunday. RB Tony Jones is also on the active roster, while RBs Darwin Thompson, Wayne Gallman and Godwin Igwebuike are on the practice squad. We’ll see if Seattle elevates any of those guys on Saturday.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. He was added to the injury report and limited on Thursday and then did not practice on Friday. HC Pete Carroll said Friday that Metcalf was just getting some rest and will be fine for Sunday. Metcalf can stay penciled into fantasy lineups for now, but we'll look for further updates on his status.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (right shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He was added on Thursday and limited in practice, but Smith was upgraded to full participation on Friday. It all suggests that the shoulder issue won't be a factor vs. the Panthers this weekend.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (foot) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He said early in the week that he was dealing with a bruised foot, but it won’t be a factor in Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos.

Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. HC Andy Reid said Friday that Toney is "right there on the border" to play Week 14. We’ll see if he can make it back for this one, but he can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups.
