Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday, and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll be back for this weekend’s game vs. the Bills and figures to slide back in as Kansas City’s primary slot receiver. Buffalo ranks 13th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to WRs but 28th against slot receivers.
Vikings RB Aaron Jones (ribs) is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so it doesn’t seem like the rib injury will be a factor. Jones is safe to keep in Week 11 fantasy lineups.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd is now sidelined with appendicitis, HC Matt LaFleur said Friday. Lloyd can't catch a break this year. He missed most of August with hip and hamstring injuries and then suffered a significant ankle injury in Week 2. Lloyd just returned to practice this week and seemingly had a shot to be active for Sunday's game vs. the Bears. We'll see how long he'll be out with this latest issue, but it certainly hurts his chances of making a fantasy impact this season.
Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (Achilles) is not listed on the final Week 11 injury report. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and limited in Friday’s practice. But Mooney is in no danger of missing this weekend’s game vs. the Broncos. He checks in as a WR3 in that difficult matchup.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. He returned to practice this week for the first time since going down in mid-September and should have a chance to play vs. the Panthers next week. RB Kareem Hunt gets another game as Kansas City’s workhorse this weekend.
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (quad) is not listed on the final Week 11 injury report. He was limited in practice all week but will play against the Chargers on Sunday night. “Felt amazing this week, and I'm ready to go,” he said Friday. Higgins has averaged 9.0 targets, 5.8 catches, 68 yards, and 0.6 TDs over his five games this season. Consider him a high-end WR2 in Week 11 fantasy lineups.
Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. He'll get a Week 12 bye to heal up, although we haven't heard an expected timetable for his return. Kincaid's absence this weekend should mean a significant role for TE Dawson Knox against Kansas City's 22nd-ranked TE defense. Knox is a viable Week 11 spot starter.
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin caught just one pass for 10 yards in Thursday night's loss to the Eagles. He was invisible for most of the night, drawing just two targets on 32 Jayden Daniels pass attempts. The first fell incomplete on a crosser in the third quarter. McLaurin finally got on the board with a 10-yard grab in the fourth quarter.
Commanders QB Jayden Daniels totaled just 191 passing yards with one TD and one INT in Thursday night's loss to the Eagles. He ran seven times for 18 yards. A red-hot Philadelphia defense got consistent pressure on Daniels and erased WR Terry McLaurin. In fact, Commanders WRs combined for just four catches and 28 yards. (Daniels completed 10 passes to RBs and eight to TEs.) Washington also struggled on third downs, converting only three of 12 chances. Daniels' TD went to TE Zach Ertz from five yards out with less than a minute to go.
Texans WR Nico Collins (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice. HC Demeco Ryans was talking earlier this week like Collins would be back for Monday night's game vs. the Cowboys. That's what we're projecting, but we'll keep you updated on Collins' status over the next few days.
Bills WR Amari Cooper (wrist) remained limited in Thursday's practice but said afterward that he expects to play vs. the Chiefs this weekend. “Definitely feeling better, definitely more comfortable," Cooper said. Cooper still has a cast on his left wrist, though, and said that he'd wear it if he plays on Sunday. That adds more risk to a guy who's still only played two games with his new team.
49ers WR Jauan Jennings was added to the injury report with an ankle and limited in practice on Thursday. That likely means Jennings was injured in practice today and puts his status for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks in question. We'll see if Jennings practices on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report.
49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. HC Kyle Shanahan hasn't sounded concerned about Kittle's status this week, so we're expecting him to play vs. the Seahawks on Sunday. Check back tomorrow to see how Kittle is listed on the final injury report.
Falcons WR Darnell Mooney was added to the injury report with an Achilles and limited in practice on Thursday. There's no further information on his status right now. We'll see if Mooney practices on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos.
Steelers RB Jaylen Warren was added to the injury report with a back and did not practice on Thursday. We don't have any other details on his status right now, but his availability for this weekend's game vs. the Ravens is now in question. Check back tomorrow for another update on Warren.
Steelers RB Najee Harris (ankle) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll be ready to go for this weekend's meeting with the Ravens. Baltimore has limited opposing RBs to the second-fewest rushing yards per game and just 3.2 yards per carry, leaving Harris as more of a RB3 this week.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was added to Thursday's injury report and limited in practice. He's listed with both "rest" and "knee." He's been on the injury report with the knee the past two weeks but hasn't seen impacted by it come game day. Jackson should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Steelers, but we'll update his status again tomorrow.
Jets WR Davante Adams (wrist, illness) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. We still don't have any other information on the illness or wrist injury. We'll see if Adams practices tomorrow and then how he's listed on the final injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Colts.
The Chiefs are placing K Harrison Butker on IR, knocking him out for the next four games, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Butker is undergoing surgery to trim the meniscus in his left knee, "though he'll be back for the home stretch and playoffs." Butker can be dropped in the vast majority of fantasy leagues. He sits outside the top 10 kickers in points per game in most scoring formats. The Chiefs are signing K Spencer Shrader off the Jets' practice squad to replace Butker, per Schefter. Schrader made both of his FG attempts for the Jets last week. We'd look elsewhere for a Week 11 fantasy kicker considering the Chiefs' matchup against a strong Bills defense,
Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. It doesn't seem like he's dealing with a significant injury, but he's also not looking like a great bet to play vs. the Chiefs on Sunday. Buffalo then gets a Week 12 bye. TE Dawson Knox will be a viable TE1 spot starter this week if Kincaid is out.
