Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Bengals RB Chase Brown continued to dominate backfield work in Sunday night's loss to the Chargers. He handled all 22 of the team's RB carries and all 7 backfield targets. Brown rushed for 86 yards (3.9 per carry) while ranking third on the team in targets, receptions (5), and receiving yards (57). Khalil Herbert played just 4 snaps and ran 3 routes (to Brown's 33).
Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins delivered a pair of TD runs in Sunday night's win over the Bengals, scoring from 1 yard out in the second quarter and then delivering the game winner from 29 yards out with 18 seconds left in regulation. He did so on just 11 carries, however, and added one 3-yard catch on his lone target.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert started hot in Sunday night's win over the Bengals. He completed 10 of 14 passes for 183 yards and 2 TDs before halftime, adding 58 yards on 4 rushes. The second half went quite differently, though. Herbert completed only seven of 22 attempts for 104 more yards, plus a 7-yard carry. The result, at least, was his fourth straight game with 2 total TDs and his fourth game among the past five with at least 279 passing yards.
Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth tied his season low with a 58% snap share in Sunday's win over the Ravens. That matched his low set back in Week 2, but it also matched his snap share for Week 10. Freiermuth's playing time has been falling recently, from a Week 6 peek of 87%, to 71%, then 65%, and the 58% of the past two weeks. He has now tied or trailed TE Darnell Washington in snaps for two straight games.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy caught 4 of 5 targets for 61 yards in Sunday's loss to Buffalo. The rookie added his sixth TD of the season.
The Giants are benching QB Daniel Jones, NFL Network reports. It's being "deemed a football decision," according to Mike Garafolo, which is fair considering Jones' play this season. But the move also protects the Giants from the 2025 $23 million injury guarantee in Jones' contract. We've very likely seen the last of Jones on the field for the Giants. The team will start QB Tommy DeVito -- not QB Drew Lock -- against the Buccaneers this weekend, per NFL Network.
Steelers RB Jaylen Warren played a season-low 33% of the offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Ravens. His share and 26 total snaps marked a dip vs. Week 10 but lined up more closely with Warren's Week 9 role. He notably trailed Najee Harris 21-13 in pass routes, though, an area in which Warren had reclaimed a lead over the previous three weeks.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce managed only 2 catches for 8 yards in Sunday’s loss to Buffalo. Kelce entered halftime without a reception.
Steelers WR George Pickens drew a game-high 12 targets in Sunday's win over the Ravens. That also marked a season-high for him and matched his largest target share of the year at 33.3% of QB Russell Wilson's pass attempts. It was his fifth game with 30% or more this season but a significant rebound vs. the previous two weeks (17.9% and 14.3%).
Steelers QB Russell Wilson threw for just 205 yards, with 0 TDs and 1 INT, in Sunday's win over the Ravens.
Ravens RB Justice Hill pulled a team-high 7 targets in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. He caught four of them for 28 yards.
Broncos RB Javonte Williams rushed a team-leading 9 times for 59 yards and 1 score in Sunday’s win over Atlanta. Audric Estime mixed in with 6 attempts for 16 yards.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely returned Sunday after missing Week 10 and leaving Week 9 early with a hamstring injury. He tied for third on the team with 5 targets and first on the team with 4 receptions in the loss to the Steelers. TE Mark Andrews, meanwhile, managed just 2 receptions for 22 yards on 3 targets
Falcons QB Kirk Cousins was benched in the fourth quarter of Sunday's blowout loss to Denver. He took 3 sacks and threw for 173 scoreless yards before leaving the game. Michael Penix completed 2 of 4 passes for 24 yards in relief. Atlanta enters a Week 12 bye, and Cousins should be back under center in Week 13 vs. the Chargers.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle finished Week 11 with 2 catches for 37 yards. He drew just an 8.3% target share on a day that saw Tua Tagovailoa throw 36 times for 288 yards.
Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling scored for the second straight week in Sunday's win over the Browns. He did so from 71 yards out on a short pass early in the second quarter. MVS caught just one other pass among four total targets.
Saints utilityman Taysom Hill delivered numbers all around in Sunday's win over the Browns. But he did his greatest damage on the ground, and in the second half of the game. Hill carried five times for 129 yards and 2 TDs after the break, following a first half that saw him post a 2-9-1 rushing line and 7 receptions for 36 yards. For the game, Hill racked up 138 yards and 3 TDs on the ground, 8 receptions for 50 yards, and 1 completion for 18 yards with an INT passing.
Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the Seahawks in receiving against the 49ers catching 10 of 11 targets for 110 yards. Second was D.K. Metcalf who caught seven of nine targets for 70 yards. Both were heavily used in the second half in the Seahawks come back.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey ran 19 times for 79 yards and caught four of five targets for 27 yards. McCaffrey didn’t find the end zone, being bottled up for much of the game by the Seahawks defense.
Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III ran 14 times for 54 yards and a TD. He also caught two passes for five yards. Walker had a solid game but took a backseat to QB Geno Smith and the passing game.
