Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bears WR Chase Claypool (knee) managed to log limited participation in practice on Thursday. Fellow WR Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion) also practiced in a limited fashion. Neither player practiced at all on Wednesday, so this is certainly a step in the right direction. We'll continue to track the health of the Bears WR corps ahead of Week 17's game vs. the Lions on Sunday.

Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (thigh) won't play against the Titans tonight, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. We'll see if Pollard can make it back for Week 18. We don't have any details on this thigh injury. His absence is an obvious boost for RB Ezekiel Elliott -- although we're not expecting Zeke to get a massive workload in what should be an easy Dallas win. Malik Davis will step in as the Cowboys' #2 RB and is worth considering in 1-game DFS contests.

Titans QB Joshua Dobbs will start Thursday night's game vs. the Cowboys, according to multiple reports. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport suggests that QB Malik Willis is sitting to ensure that he's healthy for next weekend's must-win game vs. the Jaguars. Dobbs joined the Titans off the Lions' practice squad on December 21. This will be his first NFL start. You should stay far away from the Titans passing game in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero has confirmed what we all suspected: that the team "fully" expects RB Derrick Henry to be ready for full use against the Jaguars in Week 18. Henry is doubtful for tonight's game against the Cowboys, listed with a hip issue. But he finished the week with 2 limited practices. He's clearly just being held out of a game that has no bearing on the Titans' playoff hopes. Pelissero added that rookie RB Hassan Haskins is in for a big role and didn't mention RB Julius Chestnut in his report. So Haskins sounds like the guy if you need a Titans runner. We wouldn't go out of our way to target this situation, however, in what Vegas projects to be the lowest-scoring offense of Week 17.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero says the Cowboys plan to put RB Tony Pollard through "early" pregame warmups tonight and determine his status. Pelissero adds that the team will "err on the side of caution." Pollard has missed practice all week with a thigh issue, and the Titans have unofficially announced that they don't care about this game by listing many starters as either out or doubtful. We're hoping Pollard will be officially inactive so that there's no fantasy-lineup decision to be made here. We'll keep an eye on the situation otherwise, but lean away from even an active Pollard if you have someone else worthwhile. If Pollard is inactive, RB Malik Davis could pick up significant work. We're still betting on Ezekiel Elliott garnering plenty of touches in a game that does matter for Dallas, and his matchup got a lot easier when Tennessee listed much of its defense on the final injury report.

Lions S Kerby Joseph (back) and S DeShon Elliott (shoulder) sat out Wednesday's practice to open Week 17. Joseph played every snap of Saturday's loss at Carolina and seems like the better bet to rebound. Elliott missed Week 16 after leaving the previous game early and doesn't currently appear in our Week 17 IDP rankings. We'll keep an eye on the status of both safeties through the week.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (toe) logged limited practice on Wednesday. The veteran wideout played through this injury last week. We'll see if it prevents him from suiting up on Sunday night vs. the Ravens in Week 17. Come back tomorrow for an update.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. Jackson is still reeling from an injury that has kept him out since Week 13. It remains to be seen if we will see Jackson in Week 17 action vs. the Steelers on Sunday night. The practice week is still early though. We'll know more by tomorrow.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (knee) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Check back tomorrow for updates regarding his status ahead of Week 17 vs. the Rams.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hip) did not practice on Wednesday. The rookie wideout's availability for Week 17 vs. the Vikings is too soon to call as of now. Check back later for additional information.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (right thumb, knee) was a no-go at practice on Wednesday. The former MVP has gutted through injury all season. If something pops up regarding his availability for Week 17 vs. the Vikings, we'll let you know. Check back tomorrow for an update.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee, ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. The veteran back has appeared in every game this season, so feel pretty good about his availability for Week 17 vs. the Vikings. If something changes on this front, we'll keep you posted.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (ankle) did not log practice participation on Wednesday. The same goes for RB Travis Homer (ankle). Fortunately, RB DeeJay Dallas (ankle) managed to participate in a limited fashion. We'll keep an eye on the ankles of the whole Seahawks backfield ahead of Week 17 vs. the Jets.

Seahawks WRs Tyler Lockett (finger) and Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) did not practice on Wednesday. TE Noah Fant (knee) did not practice either. It's still early in the week though. We'll keep tabs on this trio of pass-catchers ahead of Week 17 vs. the Jets.

49ers QB Brock Purdy (oblique, rib) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. The gutsy rookie has played hurt for a few weeks now, so he'll probably get the green light to take on the Raiders in Week 17. Just in case something changes, we'll keep watch on the news wire for updates.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (knee) logged limited practice participation on Wednesday. The affectionately nicknamed CMC has played through this ailment for weeks, so his availability for Week 17 vs. the Raiders doesn't seem to be in jeopardy. We'll still keep an eye on this if anything goes south.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said last week that WR Deebo Samuel (ankle, knee) has a shot at being available for Week 17 vs. the Raiders. The team is being cautious with their star wideout as they prepare for a postseason run. It's unsurprising that Samuel opened the week without activity, but it'll be worth keeping an eye on. Check back in tomorrow for more information.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson (quad) was listed as a full participant at practice on Wednesday. Fellow RB Antonio Gibson (foot, knee) did not participate. We'll continue to track how the health of this backfield shakes out in advance of Week 17's matchup vs. the Browns.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (shoulder) was listed as a full participant in practice on Wednesday. We'll keep you in the loop if anything changes that could affect his status for Week 17 vs. the Commanders.

Buccaneers WR Julio Jones (knee) was a limited practice participant on Wednesday. The former All-Pro is a regular on the injury report in 2022, so it's tough to glean anything from only Wednesday's report. We'll keep an eye on Jones this week.
