Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Raiders TE Brock Bowers went off for 10 catches, 140 yards, and 1 score in Friday's loss to Kansas City. He tallied a game-high 14 targets.
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 306 yards and 1 TD in a Week 13 win over Las Vegas. His 56.5% completion rate marked a season-low.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco rushed 7 times for 44 yards in Friday's close win over Las Vegas. Chiefs RBs combined for only 14 carries against a Raiders defense that allowed just one rush of more than 5 yards.
Vikings TE Josh Oliver (wrist, ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Cardinals. Oliver’s absence last week was seemingly part of the reason TE T.J. Hockenson registered a season-high 84% route rate. He’s a more comfortable TE1 play with Oliver out again this week.
Commanders WR Noah Brown (knee) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He was sidelined on Thursday but returned to a full practice on Friday. Brown should be ready for his usual role against the Titans on Sunday. He’s surprisingly out-targeted WR Terry McLaurin 33 to 25 over the last five games.
Browns WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) remained sidelined on Friday. HC Kevin Stefanski said that he’s not yet ruling Tillman out for Monday night’s game vs. the Broncos, but he’s a long shot to be cleared in time for that one. Rookie WR Jamari Thrash was the primary replacement for Tillman last week but would be a desperation fantasy start. Tillman’s absence should mean more targets for WR Jerry Jeudy, WR Elijah Moore, and TE David Njoku.
Seahawks WRs D.K. Metcalf (shoulder) and Tyler Lockett (knee) were removed from the final Week 13 injury report. Both guys were sidelined on Wednesday and Thursday but returned to full practices on Friday. At this point, there’s no reason to believe that they won’t be ready for their usual roles vs. the Jets on Sunday. We’ll let you know if that changes.
The Jets list RB Breece Hall (knee) as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Seahawks. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, though, and both Hall and interim HC Jeff Ulbrich said Hall is expected to be ready to face Seattle. He can stay penciled into Week 13 fantasy lineups for now. We’ll get the Jets’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
Titans RB Tyjae Spears (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. He was a full participant in Thursday and Friday’s practices, though, so he’s on track to be cleared for this one. Spears is no better than a low-end RB3 in PPR leagues, but his return puts a dent in RB Tony Pollard’s projected volume.
Titans WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He sat out Wednesday but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. Ridley will be ready for a full slate of snaps against the Commanders this weekend.
49ers QB Brock Purdy (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Bills. But he put in a full practice on Friday, and HC Kyle Shanahan said afterward that Purdy is on track to play. “Lots of things can happen between now and then, but right now he's playing,” Shanahan said. We'll look for further updates on Purdy's status. But between the injury to his throwing shoulder and the matchup with Buffalo's ninth-ranked QB defense, Purdy is not a recommended QB1 play this week. San Francisco is currently implied for only 19.25 points -- tied for fifth fewest on the week.
Commanders RB Brian Robinson (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. He'll play vs. the Titans this weekend -- and it looks like he'll be ready for a significant role. RB Austin Ekeler (concussion) has been ruled out. That figures to leave Jeremy McNichols as the No. 2 RB, but he'd be a desperation fantasy start.
Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby (ankle) was a full-go in practice all week and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Texans. It’s unclear how carries will be divvied between Bigsby and RB Travis Etienne. And the matchup is tough against Houston’s fifth-ranked RB defense. Bigsby is not a recommended Week 13 fantasy play.
Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Ravens. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday after missing last week's game. We won't get Philadelphia's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET on Sunday, but we'll likely get at least one more update on Smith between now and then.
Colts WR Alec Pierce (foot) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Patriots. He missed the first two practices of the week but returned to a full workout on Friday. That should have him on track to play on Sunday, but we'll get Indianapolis' inactives around 11:30 am ET. WRs Josh Downs (shoulder) and Ashton Dulin (ankle) are both out, which will mean a big boost in playing time for WR Adonai Mitchell.
Patriots WR Demario Douglas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Colts. He was limited in practice all week. We haven’t heard anything to suggest that Douglas is in danger of missing this one, but you’ll need to check back around 11:30 am ET on Sunday when we get New England’s inactives.
Bills WR Keon Coleman (wrist) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the 49ers after a limited week of practice. We’re tentatively expecting him to play but might not find out for sure until a little before 7 pm ET on Sunday. With a matchup vs. the eighth-ranked WR defense, Coleman belongs on fantasy benches this week.
Chargers TE Will Dissly (groin) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He was sidelined on Wednesday but progressed to a limited practice on Thursday and a full practice on Friday. Dissly remains a viable low-end TE1 option against the Falcons’ 14th-ranked TE defense.
Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. We don’t have a timetable for his return, but it wouldn’t be at all surprising if he misses multiple games. Dobbins’ absence figures to leave Gus Edwards as Los Angeles’ lead runner this weekend, but he’ll cede passing-down work to RBs Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal.
Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (Achilles) was left off the final Week 13 injury report. He was limited on Wednesday, a full-go on Thursday, and then took a rest day on Friday. Barring further updates, expect Mooney to play his usual role against the Chargers on Sunday.
