Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Titans WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll be ready to go for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders.

Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Seahawks this weekend, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Seahawks WRs D.K. Metcalf (shoulder) and Tyler Lockett (knee) missed practice again on Thursday. Both guys are seemingly in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Jets. That'd leave Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jake Bobo, and Cody White as Seattle's top three WRs. Check back tomorrow for another update on Metcalf and Lockett.

Falcons WR Drake London was added to Thursday's injury report with a hip injury and limited in practice. We'll see if he's able to practice tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Chargers.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (ankle) was a full-go in practice all week and is not listed on the final injury report. He'll play vs. the Raiders on Friday for the first time since Week 2. It's unclear exactly how touches will be divvied between Pacheco and RB Kareem Hunt. But the backfield should be productive against Vegas' 26th-ranked RB defense.

Chiefs K Spencer Schrader (hamstring) is out for Friday's game vs. the Raiders. He'll be replaced by K Matthew Wright, who's a viable Week 13 fantasy play with the Chiefs sporting the week's second-highest implied total (27.75 points).

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Chiefs after a limited week of practice. RB Zamir White (quad) has been ruled out. Mattison would be the favorite for carries if he ends up active, but he wouldn't be a great fantasy play against Kansas City's top-ranked RB defense. We'll get Vegas' inactives around 2 pm ET tomorrow.

Bears RB Roschon Johnson sustained a concussion in Thursday's loss to the Lions. It's his second documented concussion. Johnson will have 10 days to clear protocol ahead of Week 14's meeting with the 49ers. His absence would boost RB D'Andre Swift's pass-catching and TD projections.

Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught three of six targets for only six yards, but found the end zone twice. His first game being a major red zone target saw some life for the disappointing fantasy TE.

After being nearly shut out in the first half, the Bears passing game took off in the second half. Keenan Allen caught five of eight targets for 73 yards and two TDs. D.J. Moore caught eight of 16 targets for 97 yards and a TD. Rookie Rome Odunze only caught two of his six targets for 25 yards.

Lions RBs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery didn’t score for the first time since Week 6 of 2023. The Lions opted for TE Sam LaPorta near the goal line. The stat lines were still solid with Montgomery rushing 21 times for 88 yards while also catching all three of his targets for 36 yards. Gibbs ran nine times for 87 yards and also caught two of four targets for 17 yards.

After failing to throw a TD in the first half, Bears QB Caleb Williams threw three TDs in the second half. He ended up completing 20 of 39 for 256 yards. He also ran four times for 39 yards. He almost came back for the win with a last-minute drive that was penalty-filled.

Giants QB Tommy DeVito (foreman) is inactive as the emergency third QB for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. QB Drew Lock gets the start in his place. Lock shouldn’t be anywhere near season-long fantasy lineups, although we are projecting him as a slight upgrade for WR Malik Nabers and the Giants passing game.

There's a "good possibility" that Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) starts against the Texans on Sunday if he avoids a setback over the next couple of days, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Lawrence took the "majority" of the first-team reps in Wednesday's practice, Rapoport adds. Lawrence is dealing with an AC joint injury in his left, non-throwing shoulder that might eventually require surgery. But he seems determined to play through it for the 2-9 Jaguars. Lawrence would not be a recommended fantasy play against Houston, but his return would be good news for WR Brian Thomas Jr. and TE Evan Engram.

49ers QB Brock Purdy (shoulder) remains uncertain for Sunday night's game vs. the Bills, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Purdy was "very limited" in Wednesday's practice, Rapoport adds. "Probably needs to improve just a little bit to be able to get on the field" against the Bills. QB Brandon Allen mustered just 199 passing yards and one TD on 6.9 yards per attempt last week and would be a big downgrade for San Francisco's offense if he starts again.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. He was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, and we’re expecting him to play his usual role in this one.

Lions RB David Montgomery (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. There’s some risk that his workload is scaled back — or that he aggravates the shoulder injury in-game. But Montgomery also boasts big upside against Chicago’s 25th-ranked RB defense.

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. That doesn't bode well for his chances of returning for Sunday night's game vs. the 49ers. We'll keep you posted on Kincaid's status over the next few days, but fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on having him available this week as of now.

Bills WR Keon Coleman (wrist) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. "We’ll see how it goes each day as we move through the week," HC Sean McDermott said. We'll track the rookie's progress over the next few days, but he won't be a recommended Week 13 fantasy starter vs. San Francisco's eighth-ranked WR defense.

49ers QB Brock Purdy (right shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. We'll see how he progresses throughout the week, leading up to Sunday night's game vs. the Bills. But Purdy won't be a recommended QB1 play coming off the shoulder injury against the No. 9 QB defense.
