Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints CB Marshon Lattimore finished the week with a full Friday practice and is off the final injury report ahead of Sunday's visit to the Patriots. Lattimore missed Week 2 after thumb surgery but looks ready to return for Week 3. He's not a high-upside IDP option for this matchup, but the Saints defense gets its top cover man back.

Titans OLB Bud Dupree is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts because of knee trouble. He played through a questionable tag last week for 72% of the snaps. This week, however, found him missing practice both Wednesday and Friday. Dupree put in 2 limited workouts before playing Week 2. We'll update his status Sunday morning, but Dupree -- coming off a late 2020 ACL tear -- shouldn't be anywhere near your IDP lineups.

Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals. The groin injury that knocked Watt out last week kept him limited in practice throughout this week. We’d bet he’ll play but will have to check his status Sunday morning. Fellow Steelers EDGE Alex Highsmith has been ruled out with his own groin injury. The whole situation elevates Melvin Ingram as an IDP option

The Bears list S Tashaun Gipson as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Browns after he suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday’s practice. DT Eddie Goldman is questionable despite downgrading to no practice Friday. Goldman had been limited the previous 2 days. S Eddie Jackson (toe) and DL Akiem Hicks (illness, knee) are questionable

Chiefs DE Frank Clark is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Chargers with more hamstring trouble. The Kansas City Star reports that this injury is to the opposite leg from the one he hurt in training camp that kept him out of the season opener. We'll see how long this one keeps him out.

The Colts are "gearing [QB Carson Wentz] up to start" Sunday's game vs. the Titans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It sounds like Wentz had an encouraging practice on Friday. Rapoport adds that a final decision might not come until pregame warmups. Wentz has turned in QB18 and QB21 weekly finishes so far -- and he's not a recommended Week 3 fantasy play on 2 bum ankles. But he's still probably better for the Colts' skill-position guys than QBs Jacob Eason and Brett Hundley.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny (calf) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Vikings. RB Chris Carson will dominate carries again -- although he lost some passing-game work to RB Travis Homer last week.

Jets WR Jamison Crowder (groin) missed practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. Braxton Berrios has been filling in as New York’s slot receiver, totaling 12 catches on 18 targets for 124 scoreless yards over the past 2 weeks.

49ers RB Trey Sermon (concussion) has been medically cleared and isn't listed on the final injury report. With RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle) out and RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) doubtful, it's currently Sermon, Trenton Cannon and Jacques Patrick at RB on San Francisco's active roster. RBs Kerryon Johnson and Chris Thompson are eligible to be activated from the practice squad. HC Kyle Shanahan wouldn't say Friday afternoon who will get the start vs. Green Bay, but multiple 49ers beat writers expect it to be Sermon. We'll continue to look for clues on how the touches will be divvied.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday night's game against the Packers. Early-week reports made his injury sound relatively minor, but it looks like he'll miss at least 1 game. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 4.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown remains on the COVID list as of Friday night and is expected to miss Sunday's game vs. the Rams, according to insider Greg Auman. When Brown missed last year's NFC Championship, WRs Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson basically split #3 WR duties. Neither guy can be trusted in fantasy lineups. Chris Godwin, Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski could all pick up extra targets with Brown out.

Jets RB Tevin Coleman is out for Sunday's game against the Broncos with a non-COVID illness. He played just 10% of the snaps and handled 5 carries and 0 targets last week, so his absence leaves behind just a little more work for RBs Michael Carter and Ty Johnson.

Chiefs DL Chris Jones is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chargers with a wrist injury. He put in limited practices all week, so we’d bet on Jones playing. But we’ll check his status Sunday

Chargers EDGE Joey Bosa (foot, ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. Bosa missed practice all week and doesn’t look like a good IDP bet even if active. This was already a negative matchup for him

Patriots RB Damien Harris (finger) isn’t listed on the final injury report. He was limited in practice this week, but we’ve heard nothing to suggest that the finger will be an issue against the Saints on Sunday.

Jaguars WR Laviska Shenault (shoulder) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’s safe to use as you normally would for Sunday’s game vs. the Cardinals.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Lions with a non-COVID illness. He put in a full practice on Friday and should be fine for Sunday. Just check back that morning to make sure he's active.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Lions after getting in only a limited practice on Friday. He was in the same boat last week before playing 72% of Baltimore’s offensive snaps and posting a 6-113-1 line vs. the Chiefs. Unless we hear otherwise, Brown is safe to get into Week 3 fantasy lineups.

Raiders QB Derek Carr (ankle) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. Carr has turned in QB9 and QB8 weekly finishes so far this season and is a viable fantasy start vs. the Dolphins on Sunday.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (groin) is once again listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Ravens. He was "questionable" the past 2 weeks but hasn't seemed limited at all, totaling 19 carries and 16 targets. Unless we hear otherwise, Swift is safe to get into Week 3 fantasy lineups.
