Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Patriots QB Drake Maye (right hand) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. HC Jerod Mayo said earlier this week that Maye will start, but the hand “injury” could give New England an excuse to pull Maye from this game at some point. The Patriots lock up the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft with a loss. And the coaching staff has hinted this week that QB Joe Milton could get snaps vs. Buffalo. Maye shapes up as a risky Week 18 fantasy play.

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (quad) is not listed on the final Week 18 injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. The quad shouldn’t be an issue in Sunday night’s game vs. the Lions.

Rams QB Matt Stafford, RB Kyren Williams, and WRs Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp won't play against the Seahawks this weekend, HC Sean McVay said Friday. A loss could drop Los Angeles from the No. 3 seed to the No. 4, but McVay will give his key contributors the week off anyway. QB Jimmy Garoppolo will get the start, and RB Blake Corum figures to handle most of the backfield work. Stay away from the WR corps in fantasy lineups.

Raiders RB Ameer Abdullah (foot) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers. His absence leaves Alexander Mattison as Vegas’ likely lead back, with Dylan Laube and Chris Collier behind him. Mattison is a viable volume-based Week 18 fantasy play.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Panthers. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and then did not practice on Friday. We’ll look for more information on Mooney and get Atlanta’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Mooney will play if at all possible with the Falcons’ season on the line this weekend.

Titans QB Will Levis will start Sunday's game vs. the Texans, HC Brian Callahan said Friday. Callahan said earlier in the week, though, that Levis and QB Mason Rudolph will both play in this one. It remains a situation to avoid in Week 18 fantasy lineups.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson (back) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. He’ll wind up playing 11 games – and 10 full games – in his second NFL season. The back spasms that are keeping him out of the finale are worth monitoring closely in 2025 and beyond. QB Joe Flacco gets the start on Sunday against Jacksonville’s 32nd-ranked QB defense.

Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hip, wrist) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Falcons. He went from a full practice on Wednesday to limited practices on Thursday and Friday. He went through the same routine last week before playing against the Buccaneers. We’re expecting Legette to play against Atlanta but will get Carolina’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Panthers RB Miles Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons. He was cleared to play last week, according to HC Dave Canales, so we're expecting Sanders to be out there on Sunday. But the 'questionable' listing suggests that we probably shouldn't expect a monster workload in his first action since Week 10.

Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. put in a limited practice Thursday, his first action since hurting a knee in Week 14. That gives Winfield a chance to play against the Saints in Week 18. We'll see what the team says after Friday's practice.

Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (toe) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Raiders this weekend, although it's worth noting that the Chargers will have nothing to gain in that one if the Steelers beat the Bengals on Saturday.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (rib, wrist) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He could be held out of this weekend's meaningless finale vs. the Cardinals. That'd be a boost for WRs Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. We'll see how Samuel is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Ravens RB Justice Hill (concussion, illness) is out for Saturday's game vs. the Browns. It's unclear if Hill still hasn't cleared protocol or if the illness is keeping him out. Either way, he has a good chance to be back for Round 1 of the playoffs. Hill's absence this weekend is a boost to RB Derrick Henry's target projection.

The Browns have ruled LB Jordan Hicks out for Saturday's game against the Ravens because of a concussion.

The Packers are expected to play their starters in Sunday's game against the Bears. They can move up from the No. 7 seed to the No. 6 seed with a win coupled with a Commanders loss. But RB Josh Jacobs admitted Thursday that he doesn't expect to handle his usual workload. "Just being honest, being realistic, I don't see me taking that many carries in this game," Jacobs said. "Obviously, I want to play. I'm going to push to play, and I'm playing. But I don't see myself taking 30 carries." Jacobs gets a Chicago defense sitting 25th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs, so even 12-15 carries could result in a strong fantasy outing. But there's no guarantee he even gets that much work. Jacobs is a risky Week 18 fantasy play.

The Browns will start QB Bailey Zappe for Saturday's finale against the Ravens, according to multiple reports. That doesn't necessarily mean we won't see Dorian Thompson-Robinson, though.

Bengals RB Chase Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Steelers. He didn't practice all week, but HC Zac Taylor labeled him a game-time decision on Thursday. We'll look for further updates on Brown and get Cincinnati's inactives around 6:30 pm ET on Saturday. Khalil Herbert will operate as Cincinnati's lead back if Brown is unable to play.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (ankle, knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Steelers. He was in the same boat last week before torching the Broncos for 131 yards and three TDs. We fully expect Higgins to play in this weekend's must-win game.

Browns TE David Njoku (knee) is out for Saturday's finale vs. the Ravens. TE Jordan Akins will get another game as lead TE but is a shaky fantasy bet with Cleveland implied for only 11.5 points.

Browns RBs Jerome Ford (ankle) and Pierre Strong (concussion) are out for Saturday's game vs. the Ravens. That leaves D'Onta Foreman and John Kelly as the healthy RBs on the active roster. RB Jacob Kibodi is on the practice squad. Foreman is the favorite for carries this weekend but is not an appealing fantasy play. The Browns are 18.5-point underdogs with an 11.5-point implied total.
