Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The mere 1 reception for 29 yards that Rams WR Cooper Kupp logged in Saturday's win over the Cardinals marked his third straight game and fourth among the past five with 3 catches or fewer and less than 30 yards. Week 12 marked the last time this season that Kupp exceeded 8 targets. Through that week, he ranked 17th among WRs in route share (adjusted for games missed), 45th in air yards share, and third in target share. Since Week 13, Kupp has ranked just 60th in route share, 48th in target share, and 42nd in air yards share. Puka Nacua, meanwhile, leads all WRs in target share since Week 13 after ranking just 23rd through Week 12.

Packers QB Jordan Love completed 19 of 30 passes for 185 yards and 1 TD in Sunday's loss at Minnesota. Love's 30 attempts marked his highest figure since Week 9.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said after Sunday's win over the Browns that it's too early to know whether QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) will be able to play vs. the Jets next weekend. McDaniel added that Tagovailoa was not medically cleared to play today. The Dolphins will get the AFC's No. 7 seed if they beat the Jets and the Broncos lose to the Chiefs. QB Tyler Huntley played a clean game in Cleveland, completing 22 of 26 passes for 225 yards, one TD, and 0 INTs and running seven times for 52 yards and a score.

Vikings RB Aaron Jones suffered a quad contusion in today’s win over the Packers, HC Kevin O’Connell said afterward. That doesn’t sound like an injury that’ll keep Jones out of next week’s game vs. the Lions, which is for the NFC North crown. We’ll keep you posted on Jones’ status throughout the coming week. His absence would leave Cam Akers as Minnesota’s lead back.

Eagles QB Kenny Pickett was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys with a rib injury. Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports that Pickett was playing through broken ribs that he suffered in Week 16. He took painkilling shots both before the start of the game and at halftime. The Eagles are now locked into the NFC’s No. 2 seed, so there’s a good chance that it’s QB Tanner McKee under center in next weekend’s regular-season finale vs. the Giants.

Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers caught 5 of 9 targets for 61 yards and 1 score in Sunday's win over New Orleans. Meyers has now hit 55+ yards in five of his past six outings.

Browns RB Jerome Ford injured his right ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. He's officially questionable to return. We'll update his status when we know more. RB D'Onta Foreman has taken over as Cleveland's lead back.

Update: Ford returned for the start of the second half.

Titans RB Tyjae Spears sustained a concussion in the third quarter of Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars – his second concussion of the season. HC Brian Callahan said afterward that Spears will not play in Week 18. We’ll see if RB Tony Pollard makes it back for that one. If not, Julius Chestnut would likely operate as Tennessee’s lead back vs. the Texans.

Giants WR Malik Nabers capped off the fantasy season with an incredible two-TD game. He caught seven of eight targets for 171 yards as the Giants beat the Colts. If the team upgrades the QB position, Nabers could be primed to become an elite fantasy WR in 2025 and will likely be drafted as such.

Raiders RB Ameer Abdullah suffered a foot injury late in Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He operated as the lead back before the injury, carrying 20 times for 115 yards and catching three of four targets for 32 yards. We'll update Abdullah's status when we know more.

Bills WR Amari Cooper exited for a concussion check in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Jets. His head hit the turf hard at the end of a 30-yard TD. We'll update Cooper's status when we know more.

Update: Cooper has been cleared to return.

Titans RB Tyjae Spears left in the third quarter of Week 17 to get checked for a concussion. Without Spears (and Tony Pollard), the Titans are down to RBs Julius Chestnut and Josh Kelley.

Eagles QB Kenny Pickett is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys with a rib injury. He was on this week's injury report with ribs. QB Tanner McKee has replaced Pickett. We'll update his status when we know more.

Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Vikings. That’ll mean a big boost in snaps for WR Dontayvion Wicks, who is a viable WR4 or Flex play in season-long leagues.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist, rest) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. WR Jaylen Waddle (knee) is inactive. His absence gives Hill and TE Jonnu Smith potential target boosts. But both guys took big hits in the Week 17 Rankings with QB Tua Tagovailoa out.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Browns. That leaves QB Tyler Huntley under center. Miami registered a 43.6% pass rate across Huntley’s three starts earlier this season, averaging just 135 passing yards per game. Expect another run-heavy attack today in a game with a 32.5-point over/under. Huntley isn’t even a recommended QB2 in fantasy lineups and is a big downgrade for Miami’s pass-catchers.

Saints RB Kendre Miller left for a concussion check in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. His absence leaves New Orleans with RBs Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jamaal Williams. We'll update Miller's status when we know more.

Update: Miller has been ruled out. It's his first documented concussion.

Panthers RB Raheem Blackshear will start today's game vs. the Buccaneers. That, of course, guarantees nothing besides Blackshear being on the field for the first snap of the game. We're expecting RB Mike Boone to mix in and would avoid this backfield in fantasy lineups if at all possible. But if you're forced to get involved, Blackshear is the slightly better bet.

Jets DT Quinnen Williams and CB Sauce Gardner are both active for today's game against the Bills. Both entered the day questionable with hamstring injuries and carry some re-injury risk.

The forecast for this afternoon's Dolphins-Browns game calls for sustained winds of 15-25 mph with gusts over 35. There's a chance for rain during the second half, but the winds are the real story here. They figure to impact the passing and kicking games. With Tyler Huntley and Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center for their respective teams, this figures to be a low-scoring, run-heavy affair.
