Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (toe) is not listed on the final injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. The toe isn’t a concern. The Chargers will have nothing to gain in Sunday’s game against the Raiders if the Steelers win on Saturday, though. We’ll wait on the result of that game and see what it might mean for McConkey’s playing time. WR Josh Palmer (foot) is out for Week 18.

Chargers RB Gus Edwards (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders. That could have RB J.K. Dobbins in for a significant workload. But if the Steelers beat the Bengals on Saturday, the Chargers’ game will be meaningless – which could obviously impact Dobbins’ workload. We’ll keep an eye on the situation.

Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Bears. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. If Watson plays, we’d be surprised if it was a full workload with the Packers having already clinched a playoff spot.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (concussion) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Giants. He should be cleared in time to play in next week's Wild Card game. RB Saquon Barkley and WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are listed as doubtful. They won't play in this meaningless game. TE Dallas Goedert (knee) is not listed on the final injury report and could get a few snaps in this one to knock off some rust. We'd still avoid him in Week 18 fantasy lineups. QB Kenny Pickett (ribs) is listed as questionable but didn't practice all week. We're expecting QB Tanner McKee to get the start. RB Will Shipley (concussion) is listed as questionable but was a full-go in the final two practices of the week. He should be cleared for this one and figures to operate as Philadelphia's lead back.

The Eagles on Friday announced these defensive starters as doubtful for "coach's decision": LB Zack Baun, DT Jalen Carter, LB Nakobe Dean, and CB Darius Slay. That's an obvious signal those players won't play at all Sunday against the Giants. We likely won't know about the rest of the starters until Sunday. Avoiding Philly defenders in your Week 18 IDP lineups as much as possible seems like a good idea.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (rib) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. He's expected to be ready for the team's playoff opener in a couple of weeks. QB Patrick Mahomes, RB Kareem Hunt, and TE Travis Kelce are listed as doubtful and won't play in this meaningless game. Don't expect WRs Xavier Worthy, DeAndre Hopkins, or Marquise Brown to play much, if at all.

Jets TE Tyler Conklin (calf) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Dolphins. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. Try to avoid Conklin in Week 18 fantasy lineups.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jets. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so he should play. But Waddle is a shaky WR3 with QB Tyler Huntley under center.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. QB Tyler Huntley is expected to make his second straight start. He played well last week, completing 22 of 26 passes (85%) for 225 yards (8.7 YPA) and one TD, adding another 52 yards and a score on the ground. Huntley is in play in superflex leagues and DFS tournaments.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist, illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. He's been playing through the wrist injury for much of the season and should suit up this weekend. QB Tua Tagovailoa's absence dings Hill's fantasy value, but he can still be played as a WR2 in fantasy lineups.

Buccaneers WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. We’ll see if he can make it back for this one after missing Week 17, but Shepard would be a desperation fantasy play.

Buccaneers TE Cade Otton (knee) is doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. TEs Payne Durham and Devin Culp split playing time last week, so neither is a bankable Week 18 fantasy start.

Saints WR Chris Olave (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He was a full-go in practice for the third straight week. We’ll see if Olave suits up for the finale, but he’d be a shaky fantasy play with his snaps potentially limited in this Spencer Rattler-led offense.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bucs. We’ll get New Orleans’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (groin) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He’ll come up 50 yards short of his first 1,000-yard rushing season. RB Kendre Miller (concussion) has been ruled out, so we’re looking at Clyde Edwards-Helaire as New Orleans’ likely lead back in the finale, with RBs Jordan Mims and Jamaal Williams behind him. Try to avoid this backfield in fantasy lineups. The Saints are 16.5-point underdogs with a 15-point implied total.

Saints QB Derek Carr (hand) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. QB Spencer Rattler will make his sixth start of the season. He’s completed just 56% of his passes at 5.8 yards per attempt.

Lions RB Craig Reynolds (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Vikings. He was added to the injury report on Friday and did not practice. Reynolds shouldn’t be in your Week 18 fantasy plans, but his absence could mean even more work for RB Jahmyr Gibbs.

Titans TE Chig Okonkwo (abdomen) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Texans. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and did not practice on Friday, so he seems legitimately iffy for this meaningless game. We’ll get Tennessee’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Titans RB Tony Pollard (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Texans. He put in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday before sitting out on Friday. HC Brian Callahan labeled him a game-time decision. Pollard is pushing to play to pick up the 83 more rushing yards he needs to earn a $250,000 incentive. We'll get Tennessee's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. RB Tyjae Spears (concussion) has been ruled out, so the Titans will be down to RBs Julius Chestnut and Joshua Kelley if Pollard can't play.

Patriots TE Hunter Henry (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills after a limited week of practice. It’s possible he’s held out of this game that New England needs to lose to lock up the first overall pick of this year’s draft. We’ll get the Patriots’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
