Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos. He made it back for only a limited Friday workout coming off the Week 6 bye. Expect Isaiah McDuffie to get another start in Campbell's place.

Browns LB Anthony Walker (concussion) is off the final injury report after a full Friday practice. That means he'll lose no further game time after leaving the Week 6 win over the 49ers with a concussion. We had assumed Walker would miss at least a game, but you can now find him low in LB3 territory in our Week 7 LB rankings.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) remained sidelined on Friday. Samuel's injury reportedly isn't serious, but he's definitely in danger of missing Monday night's game vs. the Vikings. We'll see how Samuel is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (oblique) missed practice again on Friday. He was at least doing some work off on a side field, according to The Athletic's David Lombardi. We'll see if McCaffrey practices tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Vikings.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 7 injury report. He’s seemingly in line to make his 2023 debut vs. the Eagles on Sunday night, although Wilson still needs to be activated from IR. Considering how well RB Raheem Mostert has played, we’d be surprised if Wilson played a big role out of the gate. He’s not a strong Week 7 fantasy play but is certainly worth stashing on benches.

Chiefs WR Justin Watson (elbow) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers. He ran a route on 50% of pass plays and drew 7.4% of the team’s targets through six games, so he leaves behind some opportunity. It’s unclear which Chiefs WRs will benefit, though.

Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Packers. He reinjured his hamstring in his return last week and figures to be looking at another multi-game absence. Dulcich is droppable (again) in most fantasy leagues.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs, hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, and HC Pete Carroll labeled him a game-time decision. Metcalf has been playing through the rib injury, so it's likely the hip injury he suffered last week that has him uncertain. It's worth noting that Metcalf did return to last week's game after hurting his hip. We'll look for further updates on his status, but we won't get Seattle's inactives until a little after 2:30 pm ET on Sunday.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He didn't practice all week, so it'd be a surprise if he played. RB Ken Walker is in for a massive workload with his Seahawks 7.5-point home favorites this weekend.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. He returned to practice this week but figures to need a couple of weeks to ramp up before he’s ready for game action. QB Josh Dobbs gets another start on Sunday.

Rams RB Kyren Williams (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. He’s likely to miss multiple games with his ankle sprain. With RB Ronnie Rivers (knee) on IR, the Rams have RBs Zach Evans, Royce Freeman, Darrell Henderson, and Myles Gaskin available this weekend. HC Sean McVay said Friday that he plans on using three or even all four guys – but wouldn’t say what the rotation will look like. This is a situation to try to avoid in Week 7 fantasy lineups.

Patriots WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Demario Douglas (concussion) are questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. They both remained limited in practice all week and still have multiple stages of the protocol to clear. Neither should be in your Week 7 fantasy plans. Smith-Schuster and Douglas’ absences would be a boost to WR Kendrick Bourne’s fantasy stock.

Patriots TE Hunter Henry (ankle) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Bills. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. Henry was able to play through this injury last week, so he has a chance to be active on Sunday. But he’d be a weak fantasy play at far less than 100%.

As expected, Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo (back) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Bears. He didn't practice all week and has no timetable for return. The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that QB Brian Hoyer will get the start in Garoppolo's place. Hoyer went 6 of 10 for 102 yards in relief last week but should still be considered a downgrade for Las Vegas' pass-catchers. The 38-year-old threw just 108 regular-season passes across the previous five seasons.

Chargers Edge Joey Bosa (toe) carries no injury status into Sunday's game against the Chiefs. It's the first time that has been the case for him since Week 2. Bosa's playing time climbed to 47% last week, his highest level since the season opener. This week's status and Bosa's full Friday practice points to further playing-time growth against Kansas City. We've moved Bosa up the Week 7 DL rankings a bit, but the matchup with the Chiefs remains negative for pass rushers.

Chargers S Derwin James is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. He suffered an ankle injury Thursday and then missed Friday's workout. That bodes ill for James' chances this weekend, but we haven't yet seen any specifics beyond the questionable tag. We've moved James down our Week 7 DB rankings and will watch for more on his outlook. S Alohi Gilman (toe) has been ruled out for the third straight game.

The Eagles have ruled S Reed Blankenship (ribs) out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. That means Philly will miss both starting safeties, with Justin Evans already on IR. Undrafted rookie Mekhi Garner stepped in for Blankenship last week, but rookie Sydney Brown will reportedly start in his place against Miami. The whole situation looks tough for a defense about to face Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Brown and Terrell Edmunds -- the other starter -- both make for iffy IDP options.

Lions DB Brian Branch is off the final injury report and ready to play Sunday against the Ravens. The rookie missed the past two games after suffering an ankle sprain against the Packers in Week 4. He finished this week with a full Friday practice, though, and no game designation. Branch said earlier in the week he expected to play. Bet on a return to full playing time. Although he's listed as a safety on most fantasy platforms, Branch has primarily played slot CB. That should keep him busy in this matchup, with Nelson Agholor, Zay Flowers, and Mark Andrews all seeing significant time there. We have bumped the rookie way up our Week 7 DB rankings.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. He’s been out since Week 1 but should be ready to step back into a full-time role this weekend.

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) is officially out for Sunday's game vs. the Rams. He reinjured his hamstring on Thursday and is expected to miss more time beyond Week 7, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward have tag-teamed TE duties with Freiermuth out. Neither is a viable fantasy play. WRs Diontae Johnson and George Pickens should pick up more volume with Freiermuth out.
