Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Chargers TE Donald Parham (wrist) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Chargers. He put in full practices on Friday and Saturday, so he seems likely to play. Parham isn't a fantasy option outside of one-game DFS contests, but his presence is a drain on TE Gerald Everett's fantasy value.
Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He'll be back for Monday night's game vs. the Cowboys. Ekeler is five weeks removed from his high-ankle sprain, so he should be relatively close to 100%.
Chargers S Derwin James (hamstring) is off the final injury report and ready to return Monday night against the Cowboys. James missed Week 4 but took part in full practices all week coming off the Week 5 bye. Get him back into your IDP lineups. Fellow safety Alohi Gilman, however, is doubtful and on track to miss his second straight game. Dean Marlowe is expected to start in his place.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that the Giants are “optimistic, as of Saturday morning" that RB Saquon Barkley will play vs. the Bills on Sunday night. "No firm determination yet, but chances are better this week than last, and he's had a good week of practice, no setbacks," Fowler adds. We'll look for further updates on Barkley. We won't get the Giants' inactives until a little before 7 pm ET on Sunday.
Eagles LB Nakobe Dean finished the week with a full Friday practice and looks ready to return from the foot injury that has kept him out since Week 1. The team still must officially activate him before 4 p.m. ET Saturday, but that seems likely. It's not yet clear whether Nicholas Morrow or Zach Cunningham will leave the lineup for Dean's return. But practice video showed Dean and Cunningham working together during the week. Cunningham was the starter next to Dean to open the season. You'll find Dean highest among Eagles LBs in our Week 6 rankings, though still projected cautiously for his first game back.
The Bills left Edge Greg Rousseau off the final Week 6 injury report. That means the foot issue that cost him last week's game against the Jaguars shouldn't get in the way for this week's high-upside matchup with the Giants. Rousseau put in a pair of limited practices before going full Friday. He's attractive for IDP lineups this week.
Buccaneers Edge Shaq Barrett is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions after missing the past two days of practice with an illness. We haven't seen anything on his expectations for Sunday, so we'll check his status ahead of kickoff.
Browns Edge Myles Garrett looks ready to go for Sunday's game against the 49ers. He opened the week by sitting out Wednesday's practice with the foot issue that put him in a walking boot after the Week 4 loss to Baltimore. But Garrett returned to a limited practice Thursday and then went full on Friday. Cleveland left him off the final injury report.
Panthers Edge Brian Burns (ankle) and DT Derrick Brown (knee, ankle) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Burns went from a limited Wednesday to sitting out Thursday but then practice in full on Friday. That progression makes him seem likely to play. Brown went limited, no practice, limited and looks more iffy for the game. We'll check the status of both when inactives arrive Sunday morning.
Titans DT Jeffery Simmons is dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out of Wednesday's practice and limited him Thursday and Friday. But he carries no designation on the team's final injury report and thus looks ready to go for Sunday's game against the Ravens in London.
Niners LB Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns. He missed the first two practices before returning to a limited Friday. This looks like a risky spot to play Greenlaw. We've moved him down our Week 6 LB rankings but will confirm his game status Sunday.
The Jets have ruled CB D.J. Reed (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Eagles. The team also lists CB Sauce Gardner as questionable with an illness, but HC Robert Saleh expects him to play, according to Pro Football Talk.
Patriots S Kyle Dugger is questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders after a foot injury popped up during the practice week. He put in limited practices Thursday and Friday. We'll check his status Sunday.
Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips (oblique) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Phillips managed limited practices all week, which is also what he did last week before entering the game questionable and going inactive. We'll check his status Sunday morning.
Rams LB Ernest Jones is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Knee swelling cost him the first two practices of the week. Jones returned for a limited Friday workout, and HC Sean McVay expects the LB to play, according to Rams Wire. We'll check Jones' status Sunday.
Chargers S Derwin James appears set to return from his injured hamstring. He put in full practices Thursday and Friday, ahead of Monday night's game against the Cowboys. We'd bet on James carrying no injury designation on the final report, but we'll see what the team says tomorrow.
The Raiders have ruled CB Nate Hobbs (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Patriots. It'll be the third straight game without Hobbs.
Jaguars LB Devin Lloyd (thumb) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts. He said earlier in the week that he'd be ready to play with a cast on the repaired thumb. We'll check Lloyd's status Sunday morning. If he can't go, Chad Muma would get another game in his place.
The Lions have ruled S Brian Branch (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Without Branch last week, the Detroit secondary found Kerby Joseph and Tracy Walker at safety with Will Harris manning the slot between CBs Cameron Sutton and Jerry Jacobs.
The Cardinals have ruled S Jalen Thompson (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Rams. That leaves Arizona without both starting safeties, with Budda Baker (hamstring) still on IR. K'Von Wallace and Andre Chachere will start against the pass-heavy Rams.
