Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. It's tough to imagine Pierce being reinstalled as lead back considering how awesome RB Devin Singletary has been the past two weeks. But Pierce will certainly cut into Singletary's workload. See where both guys sit in the Week 12 RB Rankings.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. At this point, fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him returning for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. That'd again leave Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods as Houston's top three WRs.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday. That's not a good start for his chances of returning for this weekend's game vs. the Steelers. Higgins will be no better than a WR3 even when he does return with QB Jake Browning.

Steelers WR George Pickens (shin) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any other details on the shin injury. We'll see if Pickens is able to get back on the practice field tomorrow, ahead of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals.

Falcons K Younghoe Koo missed Wednesday's practice with a back injury. We'll keep an eye on his status over the next few days, but fantasy players hoping to start Koo should at least start thinking about an alternative.

Saints QB Derek Carr (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Barring a setback, he'll be under center this weekend. Carr sits 19th in our Week 12 QB rankings in a matchup against Atlanta's 29th-ranked QB defense.

Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee) put in his second straight limited practice on Wednesday. We'll see what he does on Thursday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Friday afternoon's game vs. the Jets.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (toe) is not listed on the final Week 12 injury report. He missed Tuesday's practice but was a full-go on Wednesday. There's no reason to believe that the toe will be a significant factor in Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (oblique) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers. He didn't practice all week and could certainly miss more time beyond Week 12. Walker's absence should leave RB Zach Charbonnet in a workhorse role. He's a solid RB2 play in fantasy lineups, despite a negative matchup.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (elbow) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers. He was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, though, and HC Pete Carroll said afterward that Smith "looked good, felt good." Insider Jordan Schultz confirms that Smith is expected to start against San Francisco. That's good news for Seattle's offense, but Smith is only a QB2 this week at less than 100% in a bad matchup.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks (concussion, knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Lions. He returned to a limited practice on Wednesday but still seems unlikely to clear concussion protocol by tomorrow. We'll get Green Bay's inactives around 11 am ET. Wicks isn't a fantasy option, but his absence would be a slight boost for the Packers' other WRs.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (chest) is not listed on the final Week 12 injury report. He was limited in Tuesday's practice but put in a full workout on Wednesday and will play vs. the Lions on Thanksgiving. Reed has averaged 4.0 catches and 58 yards per game over the last four, although it's come on just 5.0 targets per game. Consider Reed a risk/reward WR4 play in Week 12.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is out for Thursday's game vs. the Lions. RB A.J. Dillon (groin) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. Dillon should be ready to serve as Green Bay's lead ball carrier on Thanksgiving, but you'll need to check back around 11 am ET tomorrow to make sure he's active.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman left Wednesday's practice with a foot injury. But HC John Harbaugh said afterward the wideout "should be fine," according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This is a particularly worrisome situation, however, for a guy who lost most of 2022 to a foot injury that continued to inhibit him through this past summer. We don't yet know if it's the same foot or a related issue. Of course, Bateman's latest ailment could deliver little to no fantasy impact because he's averaging just 2.0 receptions per game this season.

The Chargers have placed Edge Joey Bosa on IR for the foot injury that knocked him out of Sunday's game. That will keep Bosa out until at least Week 16, and he'll be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups in his first game back. We've already seen an active Bosa play less than 50% of the snaps in three other games before leaving Week 11 early. That all means you can go ahead and drop Bosa for another option in your redraft IDP league. The 28-year-old is probably still worth holding in dynasty ... but he's running out of value in that format as well.

Commanders RB Antonio Gibson (toe) is questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Cowboys. He missed Week 11 with this injury but got in three limited practices this week. Gibson will only be in play in DFS tournaments if he ends up playing tomorrow. If not, RB Brian Robinson will continue to dominate rushing and receiving work in Washington's backfield.

Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Commanders. He was able to play through this injury last week, so we're expecting him to be active tomorrow. But Dowdle is only in play as a DFS tournament flier. His absence would be a boost for RB Tony Pollard. Dowdle has averaged 6.8 carries and 1.0 target per game over the last four -- although a lot of that has come in garbage time.

The Packers placed TE Luke Musgrave on IR with what NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports is a lacerated kidney. Musgrave will miss at least the next four games, making Week 16 his earliest return date. The rookie can be dropped from redraft rosters. His absence gives fellow rookie TE Tucker Kraft a shot at lead duties. The elite athlete is worth adding in TE-premium fantasy leagues like the FFPC.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (elbow) got in a limited practice on Tuesday. He was non-committal on his availability for Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers in his press conference, but getting on the field today is a good sign. We're tentatively expecting Smith to play on Thanksgiving but will update his status again tomorrow.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf missed Tuesday's practice and is on the injury report with a toe. He's dealt with hip and rib injuries this season, but the toe is new. We'll see if Metcalf practices on Wednesday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers.
