Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills TE Dawson Knox led the team in receptions (6) and receiving yards (98) and caught a TD pass in Saturday night's win over the Dolphins. Knox finished 2nd on the team with 8 targets, trailing only WR Stefon Diggs. WR Gabriel Davis followed at 6 targets, catching 4 for 56 yards.

Bills RB James Cook caught a TD pass from 4 yards out in Saturday night's win over the Dolphins. He totaled just 2 receptions for 5 yards among 3 targets, though and rushed 5 times for 34 yards. Cook trailed Devin Singletary in each category, making him difficult to start in a Week 16 visit to the Bears. Singletary tallied 42 yards on 13 carries and caught 3 of 4 targets for 28 yards.

Bills QB Josh Allen threw for 304 yards and 4 TDs in Saturday night's win over the Dolphins. He completed 25 of 40 passes (62.5%), taking just 2 sacks and tossing no INTs. Allen threw TD passes to TE Dawson Knox, RB James Cook, TE Quintin Morris and RB Nyheim Hines. The QB added 77 yards on 10 rushing attempts, leading the team in that category. Allen gets a weak Bears defense on the road in Week 16, and then a weak Bengals pass defense in Week 17.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle tallied 114 yards and a TD on just 3 catches in Saturday night's loss to the Bills. Waddle ranked 2nd on the team with 7 targets, trailing only Tyreek Hill (13) and 5 ahead of any other Miami player. A 67-yard TD early in the 3rd quarter powered Waddle's production. His 7 targets did rank a clear 2nd on the team, 6 behind Tyreek Hill's lead but 5 behind anyone else on the squad.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill drew 13 targets and caught 9 balls in Saturday night's loss to the Bills. That constituted 43.3% of Miami pass attempts and 53% of the receptions. He tallied 69 yards and a TD.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa threw for 234 yards and 2 TDs in Saturday night's loss at Buffalo. He took just 2 sacks but completed a mere 17 of 30 passes (56.7%). Tagovailoa hit WR Tyreek Hill from 20 yards out and WR Jaylen Waddle for a 67-yard score. Miami gets the Packers at home in Week 16.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert ran for 136 yards in Saturday night's loss to the Bills. Mostert posted nearly half of that with a 67-yard run in the 1st quarter but averaged a solid 4.3 yards on the rest of his carries as well. He ceded the team's lone rushing score to RB Salvon Ahmed. Mostert handled 74% of the team's RB carries, though, and would be a strong play against the Packers in Week 16 if Jeff Wilson Jr. remains out. Mostert will likely sit inside our top 20 at the position in the Week 16 fantasy football rankings even if Wilson is back.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson didn't show much progress in his 3rd game back. He threw for just 161 yards and 1 TD in Saturday's win over the Ravens. He found WR Donovan Peoples-Jones from 3 yards out for the team's lone TD. WR Amari Cooper and TE David Njoku tied for the target lead (6). Cooper caught 4 balls for 58 yards. Njoku snagged 3 for just 28 yards. Week 16 brings a Saints defense that ranks 12th on the year in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA, compared with 21st against the run. Watson doesn't look like a fantasy starter for that week or a Week 17 trip to Washington.

Browns RB Nick Chubb rushed 21 times for 99 yards in Saturday's win over the Ravens. He claimed 84% of Cleveland RB carries in the game but didn't find the end zone in a game that saw the Browns score just 1 TD. Kareem Hunt added 24 yards on 4 carries and caught his only target for 3 yards. Demetric Felton added the backfield's only other reception. Chubb drew 2 targets but caught neither. Week 16 holds a Saints defense that has been a neutral matchup for RB scoring, which marks an improvement over the Baltimore matchup.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews drew a team-high 7 targets in Saturday's loss to the Browns, 23.3% of the team's total pass attempts. But he caught just 3 of them for 31 yards. Backup QB Tyler Huntley struggled against a lackluster Cleveland defense. We'll see whether QB Lamar Jackson can make it back for a Week 16 home date with Atlanta.

Ravens QB Tyler Huntley threw for just 138 yards in Saturday's loss to the Browns. He completed 17 of 30 passes (56.7%), with 0 TDs and 1 INT. No Baltimore player exceeded 31 receiving yards, with WR Demarcus Robinson the only Raven catching more than 3 passes. We'll see about Lamar Jackson's status for a Week 16 matchup with the Falcons.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins rushed 13 times for 125 yards in Saturday's loss to the Browns. It marked his 2nd straight game over 100 rushing yards since returning from IR. Dobbins also increased his share of RB carries, claiming 61.9% after barely edging Gus Edwards in his 1st game back. Dobbins also caught his only target for 3 yards. He gets a high-upside matchup with the Falcons in Week 16. Edwards carried 7 times for 55 yards against the Browns. Justice Hill chimed in a carry for 3 yards and 1 catch (on 1 target) for 15 yards.

The Score's Jordan Schultz reports that Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (illness) is "good to go" for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. Brown didn’t practice on Thursday with that illness but returned to a limited workout on Friday. He should be ready for his usual role tomorrow.

Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) is "trending toward playing" vs. the Texans on Sunday, according to The Score's Jordan Schultz. Toney has been out since suffering (another) hamstring injury in Week 11. He's not a realistic fantasy option this week -- but Toney's return can't be bad news for QB Patrick Mahomes.

The Texans placed RB Dameon Pierce on IR with his ankle injury, ending his 2022 season. Pierce had an impressive rookie season, running for 939 yards on 4.3 yards per carry in a bad Houston offense. He currently ranks 8th in Pro Football Focus rushing grade and 3rd in Elusive Rating among 39 RBs with 100+ carries. It's enough to make Pierce the favorite to lead this backfield in 2023, but we'll see what the Texans do at the position this offseason. The Texans promoted RB Royce Freeman from the practice squad on Saturday. He joins Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale in the backfield for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs.

The Patriots did not elevate a RB from the practice squad for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. That suggests that RB Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) has a real chance to play. If not, New England will be down to just rookie RBs Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong. We won't get the Patriots' inactives until around 2:30 pm ET tomorrow, but we'll look for a Stevenson update in the morning.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Colts RB Jonathan Taylor's latest ankle injury is considered "nothing major." Taylor is scheduled for additional testing, though. "And with the Colts 4-9-1 record, it is uncertain when or if he’ll play again this season," Schefter adds. We should learn more about Taylor's rest-of-season outlook over the next few days. The Colts deployed a 2-man committee backfield without Taylor for most of Saturday's loss to the Vikings, with Zack Moss handling 24 carries and 1 target and Deon Jackson tallying 13 carries and 1 target. Both guys will be low-end fantasy options if Taylor misses more time.

The Rams have ruled DL Aaron Donald (ankle) out for Monday night’s game against the Packers

Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (oblique) was activated, putting him on track to play vs. the Raiders on Sunday. He's been out since Week 9. Renfrow averaged just 4.8 targets, 3.5 catches and 32 yards across 6 games this season, so he’s not a recommended fantasy play.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (hamstring) has been activated and is now eligible to play vs. the Patriots on Sunday. He's been out since Week 5 with a lingering hamstring injury. Waller averaged 6.0 targets, 4.0 catches, 44 yards and .3 TDs over the first 4 weeks of the season, ranking 12th among TEs in half-PPR points during that stretch. Consider him a low-end, risk/reward TE1 in Week 15 fantasy lineups.
