Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bengals LB Logan Wilson (shoulder) is ready to play Monday night against the Browns after putting in full practices all week. It's an impressive recovery from a shoulder injury that initially seemed likely to cost him multiple games. Wilson missed just 1. He's an LB3 with upside in our Week 8 IDP rankings. His return knocks LBs Germaine Pratt and Akeem Davis-Gaither down the rankings. Bengals EDGE Trey Hendrickson (neck) is also off the week's final injury report. He missed the 1st 2 days but then put in a full Friday. Cincinnati will most likely go without CB Eli Apple, who is doubtful with a hamstring injury.

The Texans have downgraded WR Nico Collins (groin) to out for Sunday's game against the Titans. It's not a surprise. Collins missed practice all week, and HC Lovie Smith spoke about the injury as though a return was not imminent. We'll see whether Collins can make it back for the Week 9 meeting with Philadelphia. That's a Thursday night game, though, which won't help. WR Brandin Cooks gains target upside while Collins is out.

Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will miss Week 8 vs. Houston. He’s battling an illness and an ankle sprain. In his place, rookie Malik Willis will make his first career start. He’s only a fantasy option in 2-QB setups.

The Cowboys expect RB Ezekiel Elliott to return from his knee sprain after their Week 9 bye, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Zeke is officially doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Bears, but it sounds like he might end up missing just that 1 game. We'll keep an eye on him when Dallas comes out of the bye.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls Titans QB Ryan Tannehill "truly 50/50" for Sunday's game vs. the Texans. Tannehill is dealing with an illness, on top of the ankle injury he suffered last week. If he can't go tomorrow, QB Malik Willis will make his 1st career start. The 3rd-round rookie is a work-in-progress as a passer, completing just 28 of 51 passes (55%) for 318 yards (6.2 YPA) this preseason. But he brings potentially elite rushing ability, carrying 14 times for 159 yards and 1 TD across 125 preseason snaps (about 2 game's worth).

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Giants. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after sitting out the previous 2 days, so Metcalf seems to have at least some chance of playing on Sunday. Fantasy owners should still plan on being without him for now, but we’ll keep you updated on Metcalf’s status.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring, ribs) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Giants. He seems to be past the hamstring problem, putting in a full practice on Thursday. But Lockett was limited on Friday, when the ribs were added to the injury report. HC Pete Carroll said Lockett had an "oblique issue" pop up on Thursday. We'll look for an update on his status on Sunday morning. Seahawks-Giants doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. He’s been out since Week 5 but seemingly has a shot to return for this one. That hamstring – plus a matchup against the #2 TE defense – would make Waller more of a low-end TE1 if he does suit up.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (foot) was upgraded to full participation in Friday’s practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 8 injury report. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday but should be ready for more workhorse usage vs. the Saints on Sunday.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (illness) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. Reportedly dealing with a bad case of the flu, Adams only got in a limited practice on Friday. He’s expected to play on Sunday, but we’ll continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to the 1 pm ET kickoff.

The Commanders have ruled LB Cole Holcomb (foot) out for Sunday's game against the Colts. We're assuming LB Jamin Davis will lead the corps in playing time in Holcomb's absence and have moved him up the Week 8 IDP rankings. Veteran reserve David Mayo should step into Holcomb's spot.

Giants DL Leonard Williams (elbow) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. He managed limited practices all week. We'll check his status Sunday. EDGE Oshane Ximines (quad) has been ruled out.

Patriots S Kyle Dugger (ankle), S Adrian Phillips (shoulder) and CB Jonathan Jones (ankle) are questionable vs. the Jets. Dugger looks like the poorest bet among them after managing just a single limited practice Friday. The other 2 put in limited work every day this week. New England ruled DT Christian Barmore (knee) out for the game.

The 49ers have ruled LB Dre Greenlaw (calf) and DL Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Rams. Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles looks like the fill-in for Greenlaw. Armstead will be missing his 4th straight game.

The Saints have ruled CB Marshon Lattimore (abdomen) out for the 3rd straight game. CB Paulson Adebo (knee) is questionable after missing last Thursday's loss to the Cardinals. DT David Onyemata (illness) is also questionable after sitting out Friday's practice.

Raiders S Johnathan Abram (illness) and LB Divine Deablo (back, ankle) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. Abram put in limited practices Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday. Deablo managed only a limited Friday and doesn't look like a great bet for fantasy football lineups. Denzel Perryman would likely lead LB playing time for the Raiders if Deablo can't go. LB Jason Brown is also ready to return after missing last week with a hamstring injury.

Titans DT Jeffery Simmons (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. He missed practice all week and has moved down our Week 8 IDP rankings. We'll check his status Sunday (barring a change before then). Tennessee ruled EDGE Rashad Weaver (back) out for the game. LB David Long (groin), on the other hand, is off the final injury report. He put in a full Friday practice after limited workouts the previous 2 days.

Texans DL Rasheem Green (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans. He popped up on the injury report Friday after a limited practice. We'll check his status Sunday.

Dolphins lead CB Xavien Howard (groin) and EDGE Emmanuel Ogbah (back) are questionable for Sunday's game in Detroit. Howard played through his injury for 100% of defensive snaps last Sunday night. Ogbah missed that game but finished the practice week with a full workout. We'll check both players' statuses Sunday morning.

The Lions have ruled S DeShon Elliott (finger), EDGE Charles Harris (groin) and CB Mike Hughes (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
