Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Falcons WR Drake London had 10 targets against the Vikings, but was only able to haul in 70 yards. He also didn’t find the end zone for the fourth game in a row. His teammates had better fantasy days with Darnell Mooney catching six of seven targets for 142 yards while Ray-Ray McCloud caught eight of 11 targets for 98 yards.

Vikings QB Sam Darnold went wild against the Atlanta Falcons supporting both Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison to top-five fantasy performances. The Falcons pass defense has struggled throughout the season and Darnold took full advantage completing 22 of 28 passes.

Falcons QB Kirk Cousins extended his streak of not throwing a TD pass despite a big passing performance. He completed 23 of 37 for 344 yards. Cousins did throw two interceptions against his former team.

Saints QB Derek Carr suffered an apparent left arm injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Giants and quickly headed back to the locker room. He was replaced by QB Jake Haener. Stay tuned for an update on Carr.

Update: Carr is being checked for a concussion and hand injury.

Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell was carted off in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Bucs with his left leg in an air cast. He's been replaced by QB Desmond Ridder. We'll update O'Connell's status when we know more, but this looks like a season-ender.

Bears WR D.J. Moore (quad) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but we’ve heard nothing about his role being limited today. Moore is fine to get into fantasy lineups if you were waiting on him.

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (quad) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, so it’s safe to assume he won’t be at 100% today. RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) is out, though, freeing up passing-down and goal-line work. RBs Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans are also active for the Bears.

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Rams. That again leaves Dawson Knox as Buffalo’s lead TE. He’s registered 82% and 68% route rates with Kincaid out the last two games and is a viable spot starter today against the Rams’ 20th-ranked TE defense.

Bills WR Keon Coleman (wrist) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Rams. He was reportedly a game-time decision, so we’d expect him back next week. Buffalo will continue to roll with WRs Khalil Shakir, Amari Cooper, Curtis Samuel, and Mack Hollins.

Cardinals S Jalen Thompson is active for today's game against the Seahawks. He was a late addition to the injury report with a Saturday illness but appears ready for regular IDP use.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Raiders with a back injury. He entered this one questionable with back and hip injuries and wasn't playing much before exiting. We'll update Irving's status when we know more.

Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks suffered an apparent non-contact right knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. That's the same knee in which he tore his ACL last year. We'll update Brooks' status when we know more.

Update: Brooks was carted to the locker room and is officially doubtful to return.

Panthers LB Josey Jewell and Edge D.J. Wonnum are active for today's game against the Eagles. Wonnum finished the week with a full Friday practice and looks fine for planned usage. Jewell sat out Thursday between limited practices and undoubtedly carries some risk. He sits in LB3 range of our Week 14 rankings.

Vikings Edge Andrew Van Ginkel and DT Harrison Phillips are active for today's game against the Falcons and ready to normal IDP use. Edge Patrick Jones II is inactive. All three entered the day questionable.

Dolphins LB Anthony Walker is active for today's game against the Jets. He was questionable with a hamstring injury but finished the practice week with full Friday participation. Walker's OK as a lower-end IDP option -- albeit with some risk. His return figures to knock LB Tyrel Dodson back to a reserve role.

Titans LBs Kenneth Murray Jr. and Jerome Baker are both inactive for today's game against the Jaguars. That leaves the team with James Williams and Otis Reese as the expected top two at the position. Williams has yet to play a defensive snap in the pros, and Reese has played just 98 total across two seasons. I won't be projecting either for Week 14 use, because I have no idea what we can expect from them in terms of playing time or production. Rookie Cedric Gray and 29-year-old journeyman Luke Gifford could also factor in. Tennessee will also go without slot CB Roger McCreary but gets CB Chidobe Awuzie back from IR.

Panthers TE Ja'Tavion Sanders (neck) is active for today’s game vs. the Eagles. We’re expecting the rookie to split playing time with TE Tommy Tremble, leaving both guys as unreliable fantasy plays.

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Eagles. Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen, and David Moore will continue to operate as Carolina’s clear top three WRs against Philadelphia’s top-ranked WR defense.

Steelers WR George Pickens (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Browns. Reports on his status for this one were positive this morning, but Pickens’ pregame workout must not have gone well. His absence leaves a huge hole in Pittsburgh’s passing game. Pickens has accounted for 24% of the team's targets, 24% of the receptions, 32% of the receiving yards, and 30% of the receiving TDs since QB Russell Wilson took over. WRs Calvin Austin, Van Jefferson, and Mike Williams could all pick up extra targets, along with TEs Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington. But we’ll also likely see the Steelers lean even more on the run game. Russell Wilson is not a recommended QB1 play with Pickens out.

Giants WR Malik Nabers (groin, hip) is active for today’s game vs. the Saints. He’ll be playing through a lingering groin issue and a hip injury he suffered in practice this week. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that Nabers would be in “more of a limited role" today. He’s down in WR3 territory in the Week 14 Rankings.
