The Cowboys (and others) have announced this morning that second-year Edge Marshawn Kneeland died Wednesday night. No details on cause of death have been shared to this point.

Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn (quad) is not expected to be available for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars, HC Demeco Ryans said Wednesday. Matthew Wright will step in for Fairbairn but isn't a recommended fantasy play with Houston implied for only 18 points.

The Packers are targeting a Week 13 or 14 return for WR Jayden Reed, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. Reed has been sidelined since Week 2, recovering from surgeries to repair a broken collarbone and a Jones Fracture. It'll be at least a week beyond his return before we could consider using him in fantasy lineups. And he'll be returning to a crowded WR corps alongside Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Matthew Golden -- although there are targets up for grabs with TE Tucker Kraft out for the season. Still, Reed is only worth stashing in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams with relatively deep benches.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (chest) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. HC Sean McVay said before the workout that Nacua is expected to play vs. the 49ers this weekend. Pencil him into Week 10 fantasy lineups, and we'll keep you updated on Nacua's status over the next few days.

49ers QB Brock Purdy (toe) was once again limited in Wednesday's practice. HC Kyle Shanahan said he'd like to get Purdy more first-team reps in practice this week but didn't say whether he has a chance to return for this weekend's game vs. the Rams. At this point, it seems more likely that QB Mac Jones gets another start. But we'll keep you updated on the situation.

49ers WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. He's been out for over five weeks now. HC Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday that Pearsall hasn't suffered a setback but that it's taking him longer to return than expected. That's for sure. Pearsall is still worth stashing on fantasy benches, but don't count on him playing vs. the Rams this weekend.

Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring, heel) did not practice on Wednesday. He's droppable from fantasy rosters after Seattle added WR Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline, but we are still expecting a healthy Kupp to play plenty of snaps for his blocking prowess. His absence vs. the Cardinals this weekend would leave Shaheed and Tory Horton as the clear No. 2 and 3 WRs behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Todd Bowles said that Irving has been running but has not been cleared for contact. That seemingly makes him unlikely to play vs. the Patriots this weekend. When we last saw Tampa Bay in Week 8, the gap between RBs Rachaad White and Sean Tucker got much tighter. White played 57% of the offensive snaps and handled 13 carries and two targets; Tucker registered a 34% snap rate with 12 carries and 0 targets. White remains the better fantasy bet if Irving is out, especially this week against a New England defense that's much tougher against the run than the pass. But he looks more like a mid-range RB2 than the RB1 we were treating him as prior to Week 8.

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) did not practice on Wednesday. That's not a good sign for his availability for this weekend's game vs. the Patriots. Godwin's absence would again leave rookie Tez Johnson as Tampa Bay's No. 2 WR.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice. We're expecting him to return for this weekend's game vs. the Browns, but it'd be nice to see him get in a full workout on Thursday and/or Friday. Wilson checks in 15th in the Week 10 WR rankings.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jets and should step back in as a full-time player. But Tillman will need Cleveland's passing game to be much more productive if he's going to be a reliable fantasy play. We're not counting on it.

Vikings RB Aaron Jones did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with shoulder and toe issues. He was knocked out of last week's game with the shoulder, but we haven't heard anything about the toe. Jones' availability for this weekend's game vs. the Ravens is uncertain. His absence would make RB Jordan Mason a useable-if-unexciting fantasy option. We'll see if Jones gets back on the field tomorrow.

Texans RB Nick Chubb (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any other info on the foot ailment but will keep tabs on Chubb's status over the next few days. It's worth remembering that his 2024 season ended with a broken foot in Week 15. Chubb's absence vs. the Jaguars this weekend would boost RB Woody Marks' fantasy value and make him a strong RB2 play.

Jaguars WR Brian Thomas (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. ESPN's Adam Schefter said on Tuesday that Thomas is dealing with a "low-grade high-ankle sprain." That could certainly be enough to keep him from playing against the Texans this weekend. We'll see if he's able to get back on the field tomorrow. WR Dyami Brown (concussion) was limited on Wednesday, so he's made some progress through the protocol and has a chance to be cleared by Sunday. WR Tim Patrick (groin) was a full participant on Wednesday after missing Week 9.

Bears WR Luther Burden (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Barring a setback, he'll play vs. the Giants this weekend. Burden isn't a fantasy option, but his return dents WR Olamide Zaccheaus' value.

Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's an improvement over last week, when he missed all three practices before winding up inactive. We're tentatively expecting Swift back for Sunday's game vs. the Giants but will keep you updated on his status over the next few days. RB Kyle Monangai had a huge game with Swift out last week -- but it came against the Bengals. Swift still figures to have a significant role in this backfield when available.

Colts WR Michael Pittman (glute) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to make it out of the Week 9 loss to the Steelers okay. And Pittman is no stranger to missing practices. We're still expecting him to play vs. the Falcons on Sunday morning but will keep you updated on his status.

Broncos WR Marvin Mims (concussion) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Raiders. He got in limited practices on Tuesday and Wednesday but wasn't able to clear protocol. Rookie Pat Bryant will operate as Denver's No. 3 WR for the second straight game but is only in play in single-game daily contests.

Jets LB Quincy Williams revealed Wednesday that the team has yanked him from the starting lineup.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray was placed on Injured Reserve with his mid-foot sprain. Murray appeared close to returning last week, but was inactive in Week 9. QB Jacoby Brissett was announced as the starter for Week 10, but he steps in for the next four games as the Cardinals starting QB.
