Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Falcons WR Drake London found the end zone in Sunday’s win over Chicago. He created a ton of separation for a short-range score. That 1st quarter catch marked his only one of the day, though. London’s 3 targets represented a 15% team share, as Marcus Mariota remained a low-volume passer. Kyle Pitts is slated to miss time with a knee injury, so perhaps the rookie’s involvement will tick up a bit. Still, it’s hard to bank on a major turnaround given the run-heavy environment. Atlanta faces the Commanders in Week 12.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Bears QB Justin Fields did not dislocate his left shoulder Sunday, contrary to what NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported earlier Monday. As we mentioned before, HC Matt Eberflus called his QB "day to day." We'll see what this week reveals about Fields' status for Sunday and beyond.

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore is questionable to return to Monday night's game vs. the 49ers due to a groin injury. He lasted just 2 snaps before going down, carrying once for a loss of 6 yards. WR Greg Dortch has replaced Moore.

Rams HC Sean McVay said Monday that QB Matt Stafford is still being evaluated for a concussion and is uncertain for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. "I think you wanna be really careful with that," McVay said. "It's gonna be about the person first and foremost." Considering he just sustained a concussion back in Week 9, we'd be surprised if Stafford played this weekend. His absence would leave the starting job to either QB John Wolford, who missed Week 11 with a neck injury, or QB Bryce Perkins.

Rams HC Sean McVay said that RB Darrell Henderson's snaps were limited by a knee issue in Sunday's loss to the Saints. Henderson ended up playing just 4 snaps and carrying twice. Kyren Williams actually led the backfield with 35 snaps (55%), finishing with 7 carries and 2 targets. Cam Akers played 25 snaps (39%) and carried 14 times. We'll track Henderson's status this week, but this remains a backfield to avoid in fantasy lineups.

Jets HC Robert Saleh would not commit to QB Zach Wilson as his Week 12 starter on Monday. “We’re keeping everything on the table," Saleh said. The Jets had been winning in spite of Wilson -- but that ended in Sunday's loss to the Patriots, when Wilson went 9 of 22 for 77 yards. He's completed just 55.6% of his passes this season, averaging 6.8 yards per attempt with 4 TDs and 5 INTs. Saleh wouldn't say whether he'd go with QB Joe Flacco or QB Mike White if Wilson is benched. None of those guys should be in your Week 12 fantasy plans, but Flacco or White would be at least a slight boost for New York's skill-position players.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Bears QB Justin Fields dislocated his left shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. In addition to deeming his QB "day to day," HC Matt Eberflus also didn't rule out the possibility of Fields missing the rest of the season. We should get a better sense of Fields' outlook over the next few days. If he's you're only QB right now, you should try to get an insurance option off waivers this week.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid said Monday that RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered a right high-ankle sprain in Week 11. He’s likely looking at a multi-week absence. Given his recently reduced role, CEH is droppable in most fantasy formats.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) is inactive for tonight’s matchup with the 49ers. Colt McCoy will make his 2nd straight start.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is active for tonight’s game against San Francisco. The veteran has snagged 10+ passes in 3 of 4 games this season.

Chargers HC Brandon Staley confirmed on Monday that WR Mike Williams re-aggravated his right high-ankle sprain in Sunday night's loss to the Chiefs. Staley added that the team will "find out a lot more in the next couple days" but that it's not "a significant re-injury." Considering Williams was out 4 weeks with the original injury, though, he seems unlikely to be available for Week 12's game against the Cardinals. That'd leave Keenan Allen and Josh Palmer as the Chargers' top 2 WRs.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) was not activated from IR for tonight's game vs. the 49ers, as The Score's Jordan Schultz reported would be the case yesterday. Brown is reportedly aiming for a Week 12 return after getting back on the practice field this past week.

4:10pm EST 11/21/22

The Falcons have placed TE Kyle Pitts (MCL) on IR for his knee injury. That means he'll miss at least 4 games. We'll see about confirmation on him missing the rest of the year. MyCole Pruitt and Parker Hesse are the next guys up at TE but shouldn't factor significantly into fantasy football plans. WR Drake London could see more targets with Pitts out. He drew just 1 against Chicago, though, in the game Pitts left early.

3:31pm EST 11/21/22

The Commanders have activated EDGE Chase Young from IR, HC Ron Rivera said Monday. That points to Young seeing his 1st game action in Week 12 since suffering his ACL tear last November. We'll see if the team reveals anything further about his role. We certainly wouldn't bet on an immediate return to his pre-injury playing-time level, though.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor labeled WR Ja'Marr Chase (hip) "day to day" on Monday. Chase is expected to return to practice this week, but Taylor was non-committal on his availability for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. We'll keep a close eye on him throughout the week.

Bears HC Matt Eberflus on Monday called QB Justin Fields day-to-day with his left-shoulder injury. Chicago visits the Jets on Sunday, so we'll get a normal week of injury reports to assess Fields' level of involvement.

Panthers HC Steve Wilks said Monday he hasn't decided yet who will start at QB for Sunday's game against the Broncos. he added that he'll make the decision ahead of Wednesday's practice. Baker Mayfield stunk (again) in the Week 11 loss to Baltimore. P.J. Walker is coming off a groin injury that kept him out of that game. Sam Darnold has yet to play this year after opening the season on IR. This decision might not really matter for fantasy football purposes outside of determining whether Mayfield will stick around and continue to silence WR D.J. Moore.

Texans HC Lovie Smith on Monday left open the possibility of shifting from QB Davis Mills to Kyle Allen. "We're not pleased with where we are," he said, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "Do we need to do some things differently? Yes, and we will." Mills tossed 2 INTs in Sunday's loss to Washington, his 4th 2-INT game of the year. It was also the 3rd time in the past 4 games that Mills fell short of 170 passing yards. We're not sure Allen would be an upgrade for anyone, but we'll watch to see what Houston does.

Broncos RB Chase Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Raiders and is expected to miss "multiple weeks," according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Edmonds can be dropped from all redraft rosters. The news makes RB Melvin Gordon's release even more surprising. Denver is down to RBs Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack for now. RB Devine Ozigbo is on the practice squad; RB Mike Boone is eligible to come off IR for Week 13.

The Broncos have waived RB Melvin Gordon. The move comes after Gordon committed another costly fumble in the 1st half of Sunday's OT loss to the Raiders. That leaves Denver with Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack as potentially the only healthy RBs heading into Week 12. Chase Edmonds left Sunday's game early, and Mike Boone has at least 1 more game on IR. We'll see about the status of those 2 RBs over the next week and a half. And we'll also see whether Denver adds another competitor.
